Peppermint To Be was from last year’s 2015 Cheers holiday release. I never got the opportunity to wear it until this year so my bottle is already a year old. The color is a beautiful shimmery red crelly with red microshimmers that has warm golden lights. The shimmers aren’t yellow though, they are red just like the polish, but they add some type of warm light to this. The formula is nice on this and it is a crelly so it’s thin on the first coat, but add a second and you’re good. I did use a thicker coat for the second one so if I had kept them thin it might have needed 3 coats. This goes on easily without running, dripping, pooling, dragging or balding with the third stroke. I didn’t have any trouble This is a dupe for Just Be-Claws from the holiday 2013 Happy Holiglaze collection. I put both on and the difference is so tiny and slight that I can honestly call these dupes. Peppermint To Be is ever so slightly deeper and Just Be-Claws has a barely more golden warm tone. Seriously though, in both indoor lighting and outside, these look identical and I had to try really hard to find the differences. I really thought they were the exact same and even now looking at them they still can pass for the same polish. If you have one you certainly do not need the other. This is such a pretty holiday red and I love the shimmers in it. This is the perfect Santa suit red. Or Mrs. Claus red. This is really pretty against my pale fair skin. I have to be careful with reds as a lot of them tend to wash me out and look too harsh and cold on me, but this one compliments my skintone well with the warm look. I am really loving this one already and I’ve only had it on for a couple of days. So far there is no chipping, no tip wear, no fading, and it hasn’t rubbed off on the corners as some polishes can. This was so easy to apply and it dried to a beautiful shimmer filled finish. As always, I used a base coat, a ridge filler, 2 coats of polish and a fast drying top coat. I really am loving this beautiful polish. Yes, please!

Peppermint to Be by China Glaze is a wonderful holiday red. It has the consistency of a crelly (crème/jelly), is very easy to work with. It is self leveling and the opacity is excellent. The color is a saturated red with a shimmer and tiny specks of gold. It’s not quite as deep a red as my favorite Ruby Pumps, but it certainly makes a statement.
2 coats covered very well, a top coat of Seche Vite added extra gloss and longevity.

Peppermint To Be is from China Glaze Holiday 2015 Cheers! Collection. It’s a red polish with red shimmer and gold micro shimmer. The gold is visible in the bottle, but not on the nail, yet it makes this polish ‘glow from within’. This polish is perfect for holiday season.
I wasn’t impressed with my brush, as I has some astray bristles pointing in different directions. But I decided not to mark this polish down for that, as I only have a miniature bottle, and I know that quality in miniature bottles is not the same.
In contrast, the quality of polish is great. I used 2 coats, but I had perfect coverage with 1. It lasted brilliantly on me too.
I am aware that this polish is very dupe-able – every brand has their version of it. There are even a couple within China Glaze range (Y’all Red-y for This?). So Pepperminy To Be is not incredibly unique, but very pretty nevertheless.
