I’m not much of one for cool toned purplish mauve nail polishes but this had a subtle rose gold shimmer so I bit, and boy, am I glad I did! The color is much darker on than in the bottle. It’s a flattering summer color on my N4 skin, with my brown hair and dark brown eyes. I think it will transition well into fall, too. I could wear this as a pedi if I wanted as it has enough punch for the toes. It’s nice and opaque in one coat. It doesn’t chip easily with a top coat as most of the Zoyas don’t for me. I like Zoya’s brush because it’s not too long and the width is perfect for my nails, making it quick and easy to handle. I recommend this one to any purple/mauve polish lovers.

Formula is good and it’s 4-Free, but this colour didn’t thrill me. Kinda blah against my pale skintone – just a pale dusty mauve (not as purple-looking as the pic above) and the shimmer was basically invisible.

Zoya Charity (0.50 fl oz for $8 usd) is an antique mauve purple with a golden sheen and a duochrome shimmer. This is an unique color that looks interesting on a nail with the shimmering tone. The intensity is very opaque, I only use 1 coat and the color intensity is as the same as the bottle. The application is very smooth and is super easy to work with. I see Charity will please many mauve purple lovers because of the easy application and the color intensity. The wearing time is good lasting 7-9 days on my nails with Seche Vite’s rapid coat. Charity is a perfect color if you are looking for a dusty mauve purple polish with a golden sheen.

This color reminds me of Grammy Cracker by Essie, which is discontinued.

This is from the Fall ’06 collection, and is mauve shade with a bit of shimmer. The shimmer is goldish pink, and is detectable in indoor light, but oddly not in natural light. This shade appears quite a bit darker on the nail than in the bottle. It has sort of a purple/grey cast which is a little unflattering on my pale skin. This would be better on a deeper skin tone. I probably would not buy this again, but I love the quality of Zoya polishes! They last really well especially with the Anchor basecoat.
