This large pink file from Sun Shine came in a recent beauty subscription box. I am always delighted to find new nail care items so finding it brought a smile to my face. This is large and it’s spongy with a solid core that holds the two sides together. The grit on this is 100/180. It is slightly flexible and I really like the spongy sides as they prevent too much pressure on the nail and this did a nice job of filing and it didn’t drag or pull or skip while filing. The edges felt smooth. It didn’t take off much length and I think this is better suited to evening out the edge rather than removing any significant length. I did go back in and finish my free edges off with a different finer grit file (600) to seal the edges. Sadly, this is not durable and I have only used this one time though and it isn’t fit for a second use. I have natural nails and they are not super strong nails. While I do use nail strengtheners they are still thin and it’s very easy to file them down. I had only done one hand, 5 single nails, and already the file was missing a significant amount of grit on the one end so I turned it around and used the opposite end for the other hand. By the time I was done with all 10 nails this entire file was ragged looking and missing lots of the grit exposing the foam beneath. I am dissatisfied with this as it didn’t even last a single manicure! This claims to be washable and disinfectable, but honestly it is not durable enough to need a wash because it isn’t worth using a second time with all the grit missing. I’ve added in my pic and this is after one use only, 10 single natural nails did all this damage! You can click on the picture to enlarge it and see the damage and the missing grit on both ends from a single use. I don’t know where these are sold, but the company does have a website. Other than that I do not know anything about the company or it’s other products. I do not like this one as it is an inferior product and it’s not worth my money for a one time use file. No, thank you.
