This is a really, really good moisturizer. I’ve always had dry skin, and I’ve tried so many different products, but this one seems different. It’s a light, fluffy yet very rich cream. Just a tiny bit will make a real difference in my skin, and the price is good considering how effective it is. I use this in the daytime because I have the Divine Drip Sleeping Nectar for night. I bought a lot of Josie Maran products this winter, and I’m really loving her brand.

I have oily combo acne prone skin that gets super dry in the winter now that I’m closer to 40 :).
It helps keep the flakes at bay without overloading my face with oil. This plays well under makeup. The texture is very light and whipped, not Crisco or greasy in the slightest! It was substantial without being heavy feeling. It was a great deal as I got a full jar of this with a full bottle of the Argan oil for 52, so a very fair price!
The jar didn’t last me very long, I probably could’ve used more sparingly. I got this in November or December and it’ll prob last me until the end of February with 3-5 time use per week.
I’d buy this again next winter for sure!

I have been using this product for years now and love it! My one complaint is that the packaging (a jar) isn’t the most hygienic.
My skin is rather oily, and if i’m not very diligent with my skin care or i use the wrong product/s i’ll break out. Mostly I just get blackheads and a couple small pimples. I’m also rather sensitive and can easily have issues with severe dehydration (I had bad eczema as a child), especially during the winter. Sometimes it gets so bad my face sheds dead skin like dander (gross, i know!). This doesn’t break me out at all, a little goes a long way, and it helps a lot to keep my skin hydrated! Normally i’ll use it as an eye cream and around my mouth (my dryest areas), but will use it all over my face if it starts feeling tight or I feel it needs a little more.
This has worked amazingly for me under makeup. It’s not too shiny unless you apply too much. I have never had an issue with this pilling no matter how much I applied. The reviewer that did must have been using another product that had that issue, or interacted with it negatively.
I could honestly see this working for most people/skin types. Will continue to use and highly recommend!

I’m hooked. I can’t go back to using drugstore moisturizers. They’re simply not nourishing enough. I was on accutane a few years ago, so I don’t produce oil. My skin is very dry. I had some severe dry patches between my eyebrows and on my chin. My makeup looked scaly. I’ve used almost an entire jar and my dry patches have softened. The one on my chin is almost completely gone! My skin feels more plump in general. This is a thick unscented cream. You need to rub it in. However, it doesn’t feel thick. It absorbs quickly and nourishes deeply. I still use an oil on top. The jar is made of thick glass and is heavy. I’m not a big fan of jar packaging, but this doesn’t have any active ingredients. I’m running low and will be going to Sephora soon to repurchase!

I have been using it for a few days, and so far I am liking it ..it does moisturize, my normal to dry skin feels comfortable after using it…now, if you skin is very dry, it might not be rich enough…but for me who doesn’t like thick textures, this is actually good…I have been wanting to try that brand for a while…so far, that moisturizer is performing nicely! Now, I believe there are similar products for less money, but this is a nice one to use.

I received this trial size option with a gift. Having combination acne prone skin, I usually avoid butters and oils on my face but I like cleaner products and this fits the bill, plus I’ve been curious about this line after seeing Josie on HSN smearing argan oil on everyone.This butter is light, absorbs easily, is gentle and did not irritate my skin and I didn’t notice any obnoxious fragrances. I wouldn’t object to purchasing this in the future.

I have dry, acne-prone skin. This facial moisturizer did not do amazing things for my skin, and left it feeling a little dry after application if anything.
Pros

– a lot of great natural ingredients
– sturdy packaging
– a little goes a long way
– unscented
– did not irritate my skin
Cons
– a little drying to my skin for some reason (I noticed my forehead flaking a few minutes after application…)
– makes the texture of my skin really weird
I’m sure this would be a great moisturizer for individuals with a very specific skin type, however I wouldn’t say that this product suited me very well nor did it nourish or hydrate my skin to the extend that I would have liked it to. To me, the price seems a little steep for what it is.

Although a little on the pricier side, I’ll probably be repurchasing this face moisturiser soon (running out of my first pot!). I first bought it in the middle of winter, after having noticed some pretty annoying and persistent dry spots and flaking along my cheeks, nose and forehead. I’d been using the Origins Ginzing Moisturiser which is much lighter and probably wasn’t heavy enough for me during the colder months. While not banishing my dryness overnight, I definitely noticed a difference with consistent use of the face butter. My skin is more hydrated and supple now and definitely doesn’t seem as thirsty.
Although it’s very moisturising, it isn’t oily and can easily be used as a day and night moisturiser. I use it under a full face of makeup and it sits well (particularly during winter for extra moisture) and easily glides over my nightly serum, leaving my skin feeling fresh and soft.
There are probably cheaper alternatives out there, but this worked well for me and it does what I needed it to. I also like that it doesn’t have any harsh smells and is reasonably thick – I can feel it working!

If this were a lot cheaper I might buy again as something to put on my face when it’s dry and I don’t have time or energy to put more thought into my moisturizer. It has a lovely consistency and it has no fragrance that I can tell (which I love). It really feels luxurious, whipped and neither too light nor too thick. I just didn’t feel like it did anything for me. I am starting a more comprehensive skin care ritual based on what I’ve been learning about Korean skin care and as a last “occlusive” moisturizer that is essentially meant to seal in all the previous layers, I imagine this would work really well but I think it’s too expensive to do just that. At this price point I would want something that had a marked difference on my skin and after actually finishing the whole jar (this rarely happens so this is a testament to the fact that, like I said, the consistency is lovely) I didn’t see a difference despite not changing anything else in my skin care routine.
