So they upgraded this product I think either last year or this year. I can’t remember, but I bought this while I was in Korea. They had just upgraded their entire water bank line and their whitening line. It smells a tad different from the previous version. It’s hard to describe, but the scent is slightly stronger, although it’s still very clean and not at all overpowering. I like this gel cream for my combination skin. It gives just enough hydration without the greasy feeling. One thing I will say though, for some reason, Laneige products do not work for me the second time around. Some of them even gave me small bumps. My skin is quite stubborn so it needs a change here and there, but for most, it’s a good product.

I have been using Laneige Water Bank Gel Cream for almost a year now. I first used this gel cream
but it has recently been updated to this Water Bank Gel Cream EX.
I honestly liked both products, though I think the former version seemed to be a bit cooler once applied to skin. This product has less cooling sensation, IMO, but it still makes my skin feel a bit fresher once applying. My face is really prone to redness, but it is less noticeable once I use this. However, if you live in a really cold area or the winter in your place is really harsh, you might want to consider Laneige Water Bank Moisture Cream instead. I used this gel cream when I was on a winter vacation (the temperature is somewhere between 0 and 10 degrees Celsius) and it wasn’t moisturising enough. In the end, I used the moisture cream during that holiday and it worked much better.
However, when the temperature is alright and I am currently living in a tropical country, this gel works great! Recently, I even applied this gel (just a tiny bit) before patting the BB cream and it makes my face looks somewhat brighter and moisturised. Even when I use it in the afternoon, it doesn’t break me out even though the weather here is so hot (around 30 degrees Celcius). I have a combination skin btw. When I wear this product alone, my face still looks luminous somehow and I think it is attributed to this. The general rule is to apply less in the afternoon and apply more generously at night. However, you might want to adjust the amount depending on your skin type.
The price kinda varies, but it’s definitely more expensive if you purchase it in a retail store. AFAIK it’s cheaper in Sasa and Strawberry.net. It normally lasts around 4.5 months for me. So far I have no intention to switch to another product. Overall, I highly recommend this! 🙂

this is an amazing sleeping mask that all woman should have.
a great sleeping mask if you don’t have time using mask sheet, it does provide nutrition to your skin.
first time trying and fall in love with it.
good packaging, great smell and huge benefit to your skin.
i use 2-3 times a week to keep my skin hydate, moist and glow.
i can see my pores got shrinked, skin become more moisture and glow and yet healthy.
the price is also reasonable. will surely repurchase again.

I have been using for a while as a day cream and claims it is suitable for normal to combination skin. I have combination skin and slightly sensitive.
1) Smells amazing very subtle floral smell
2) It is a little on the pricey side but i have been using it for 2 months now and i can hardly tell its been used.
3) It is very light and absorbs very quickly and thats what i love about it so i can almost go into my makeup routine immediately
4) I have an oily t-zone and after using this i feel like is has slowly help my facial oil balance out a lot better. I now get less oily on my T-zone and no breakouts or clogged pores.
5) I just think this does not really help with balancing oil levels in t-zone or other oil prone skin areas.
6) Very hydrating even in cold winter months!
So final verdict is that i recommend this to people who like a light and hydrating moisturiser in the mornings with normal / combination skin, if you have dry skin i think this one might not be enough. But it is definitely they best gel cream i have tried so far.
