A cloudy white gel that instantly absorbs or evaporates to a powdery dry sticky coating on the skin with a matte finish. Smells unpleasant. like those old fashioned toilet cakes that used to sit in cages in the toilet bowl in the 80’s. 30 seconds after applying my skin feels drier than wearing no moisturiser at all, no matter how thick a layer I gloop on results are the same. A weird dry coated feel. Itches my skin slightly. Looked at the ingredient list and discovered reason why.
1st ingredient is coconut (sugar) water, and the 2nd ingredient is….sugar. So, sugar water dries like lacquer on the skin and used to be used as hairspray before canned commercial hairspray became available. Also high up the list is sodium acrylate, a film former in hairsprays and heat protectants and also used to build artificial nails. Also, lots of silicones high up the list. No wonder its makes skin feel so dry and “coated”.
If like me you brought it for the active ingredients, antioxidants, licorice root, etc. then don’t bother. They are so far down the list they will do nothing. They are so diluted there is actually more hairspray and silicones and sugar and other chemicals than anti-oxidants.
Finally, for something that is supposed to be clean they chose the preservative Phenoxyethanol, which has basically the same hormonal effects of Parabens. You might as well just choose a product with Parabens for all the good this is going to do.
No moisture, smells bad, barely any active ingredients, hormonal preservatives, AND isn’t cheap? Buy anything else.

I’m not sure this is helping moisturize my combo skin. It feels like it’s not helping because of how well it dries down/evaporates. 3 minutes after applying, I barely feel like I put anything on. The only time I feel any moisturizing benefit is if my skin happens to be extremely dry. Then I feel something, but only in contrast to how dry I was before. But my skin rarely gets THAT dry. Maybe my skin is benefiting from the other ingredients; coconut, the antioxidants, licorice root, etc., but I don’t feel it. For the same price or less, there are many products out there that I definitely feel improve my skin. Also, the scent is slightly coconut-y, but with a hint of a powdery scent with it; like baby powder (?). Anyway,
I won’t get this again.

This is a very light moisturizer that reminds me somewhat of the Peter Thomas Roth Cloud Cream. It is nice enough but better suited for warm weather months on my dry skin. The ultra repair cream is more in line with my skin type and needs. I did receive this in a kit that I purchased where the main product is the cleanser so as a “bonus” product it was good to sample/test out. If you have normal or oily skin this moisturizer would probably be enough hydration for you but as with anything YMMV.

I love this moisturizer for my combo skin. It’s a light gel that absorbs immediately and feels refreshing going on. It reminds of the Neutrogena Hydroboost water gel but without the breakouts that one leaves me with. There’s no sticky film or residue and makeup goes on well over it. This is light enough that I can apply this at night before serums and it works almost like a moisturizing toner or an essence so that everything absorbs well. In the Am I can apply sunscreen over it without looking like an oily mess an hour later from layering products. The packaging though… I initially tried this as a deluxe sample that came in a standard plastic squeeze tube and liked it well enough to buy a full size even though it’s only available in a jar with a screw on lid. No pump, no spatula and absolutely no reason for this to be packaged this way. The sample tube was better thought out. I’m not sure why a company would consciously choose poor packaging but this would be a 5 star HG product for me otherwise. We’ll see if it performs as well a month from now with constant light and air exposure.

Just reordered a second jar. Still hate the packaging but this is my favorite day time moisturizer. Disappears into my skin and wears great under sunscreen or foundation without breaking me out. It is pricey but has lasted a couple of months with once sometimes twice daily use. I often use a heavier moisturizer at bed time.

Extremely gentle moisturizer that feels smooth, soothing, and cooling going on. I can imagine myself using this only with another moisturizer, though, because it’s definitely not rich enough.

Lightweight and comfortable for combo/oily skin. I have been using it as a summertime moisturizer and it is perfect, but might not be enough for winter or for those with drier skin. The only thing I don’t like is the packaging – I prefer something with a pump, and this is a jar with a lid.

I received a deluxe sample, and after several uses …
Pros:
This soaks in like like a dream on my normal-ish skin. It’s not tacky and my face feels soft. Makeup applies well over it.
It has a pleasant coconut scent, and I tend to hate scented skincare and cosmetics, but this at least didn’t smell soapy or anything. The scent does linger, however.
I like many of the ingredients, including the coconut water, licorice root extract, etc.
Cons:
Dimethicone is among the top five ingredients. I guess that’s why it has that glide, in part, but for a brand that seems to tout itself as more natural… silicones?
The coconut scent. Not everyone will like it. Especially because it lingers.
The price: $34 for 1.7 oz/50 mL just seems steep.
The jar packaging: Not ideal as it can quickly lead to contamination and the product losing efficacy.
Would I buy it?
At $34, no. But if there’s some kind of Sephora Weekly Wow deal where this is offered for half-off, I may. But I really do have other creams I prefer that boast better ingredients, that come in a pump dispenser, and which cost much less money.

This is really hydrating without being oily, thick, and sticky; it is runny and gel-like, so absorbs nicely into the skin and makes it look plump and hydrated. It also layers nicely, and can serve as a primer. But, I dislike the smell; I usually don’t care if my products are scented, but this smells like coconut-flavored medicine. The smell is strong, and it lingers.

This water cream has so many good things going for it and I really wanted to love it since I love so many other products from First Aid Beauty. I knew that this was packaged in a jar packaging, which isn’t good for the antioxidants, but I knew if I loved this I would divide it and place it in other smaller jars to help protect the antioxidants for as long as possible. I really wish they had chosen to package this in a tube or pump bottle like they have done with many of their other products.
The Coconut Water Cream contains lots of good ingredients for your skin like coconut juice, licorice root extract, caffeine, Sodium Hyaluronate, cameillia sinensis extract, and feverfew extract (which FAB uses in a lot of their products). Unfortunately my skin just did not like this product. I rarely ever breakout but this did cause a few breakouts, especially on my neck and decollete. I think my skin just did not like the concentration of coconut juice this contains. So if you have acne prone skin (and even if you don’t) just be a little careful with this. I wish I could use this though, and it does have a terrific natural coconut scent. My more detailed review can be seen here:
