Ive absolutely fallen in love with this for all the wrong reasons! I LOVE it as a hand cream because it smells divine! too bad its so pricey. On my dry to normal skin it just breaks me out with more blackheads and whiteheads (i dont get acne) and it seems to make my skin look greasy/oily. I tried using even 1/2 and 1/4 of a pea size on my face and it still gave me blackheads. Sometimes it made my checks look a bit like they got a rash (I think this was because Id cleansed my skin to soon after applying it). I really wanted to like this 🙁

Although I really like REN’s products, their moisturizers are just not for me. I have combo/oily skin so I first tried the mattifying moisturizer which was very drying so a sales rep recommended this vita-mineral moisturizer because I do chemical peels on my skin. It sat on top my skin and had an odd consistency when in contact with my face. I do have to say, it moisturized good and helped my oiliness for some reason. But then after 2 days of using it, I noticed about 3-4 of those “under the skin” pimples were emerging so I stopped using it at once and returned it. I hope REN re-formulates their moisturizers becauser their other products are sooo good.

This is a daily use light cream for normal skin. I am always on the hunt for chemical minimal skincare so I decided to give Ren a try. They boast that they are free of parabens petrochemicals etc. etc. I find this cream very easy to absorb and it smells really nice. However I have normal to dry skin in winter and this didn’t really moisturise me enough. When my central heating goes on my skin starts flaking and looking dry even with using this cream day and night.I think I would pick this up again in the summer and I would recommend this for people with normal skin so although it didn’t work for me I’ve given it 3 lippies. If you have dry skin, this cream will be far too light for you.
