(I posted this on Sephora.com, but since my experience was the same, I thought, why not.)
I am a frequent hand washer and the horrible soap at my work and the harsh winters of Utah do not help. I had a holy grail lotion at the grocery store, but became allergic to an ingredient and I’ve been desperate ever since. I’ve had a few things feeling about 2/3 way there, but nothing as good. Because of that, I turned to a more high end solution. I have heard a lot of good things about FAB and the oatmeal appealed to me. WELL IT FREAKING DIDN’T WORK! It’s actually dried out my skin!!! I’ve used it all over my body and my face and it’s made it bad. The best one I’ve found is only like $4. I’ve only had this happen to me with one other lotion. So frustrating for this to cause reversal. Now I have to try to repair it all. ARG
One thing I’m surprised with was the consistency. It. was very liquidy. The cream felt more like a lotion. If it worked, I wouldn’t have minded, I just thought it was interesting. Another reason I’m sad this didn’t work is because it seemed like it absorbed so well. No greasiness. My hands even stung the first time I used it – the kind it feels like when you are moisturizing very dry hands.
Oh well. Back to the drawing board.

I absolutely love the way this moisturizer makes my skin feel. It’s really tough for me to find a moisturizer that works with my skin type. I have sensitive skin and it’s also combo/oily. I had been using a Trader Joe’s moisturizer which was ok but made my skin feel tingly sometimes.
I use Olay sensitive skin spf 30 moisturizer in the morning and this one at night and it’s a great duo so far! It absorbs quickly and leaves my skin feeling soft.
The only cons so far is the packaging (makes it hard to squeeze the product out) and the price ($30 for a small bottle). Overall though the pros outweigh the cons. I’m very happy so far and will be sure to update my review if my opinion changes.
UPDATE: 1/8/17 – still using it and I still love it so much! No breakouts and leaves my skin feeling super soft.

I have been looking for the perfect moisturizer for a long time after Olay active hydrating beauty fluid started breaking me out. This lotion is amazing. It is very moisturizing while still being lightweight. I have not broken out and I have very sensitive skin. Something that I did notice was that when I first put it on I feel a bit of a warming sensation, but it’s not terrible and it goes away within a few minutes. I’m not really sure why that happens maybe it’s one of the ingredients, but I haven’t noticed any breakouts or redness from it. This lotion absorbs into my skin quickly, which makes it perfect for wearing under my makeup. It is fragrance free, which is good for people that are sensitive to smells like I am. I also like that this version does not include eucalyptus as this can be very irritating to sensitive skin. I’ve noticed my skin has gotten a lot better while using this, it is smoother and looks softer. It has also helped with some of my dry spots. This lotion is also very soothing and helped clear up a little breakout that I had going on before I started using this. This lotion is great and I would definitely recommend.

Having now used up more than half of my 8 oz. bottle, I can say that this has become my go-to gentle moisturizer, for when my skin feels especially sensitive and I just want something light, breathable, and clean-feeling. It’s a lotion with fairly conservative ingredients — colloidal oatmeal is first in the ingredients list — and a slightly runny consistency. I find that it protects against dryness for the better part of the day, but isn’t moisturizing enough to actually treat it (say, the way Weleda’s Skin Food does). If I’ve just exfoliated, it can sting or redden my sensitive face a tiny bit, but that soon subsides and I’m left with healthy-looking skin. The product is indicated “for the face and elsewhere,” but due to price I save it for facial use only. Overall it works well for me, without working any wonders.

I’ve been using this moisturizer for a few months now & I love it! it absorbs into my skin pretty quickly. w my combo skin this is perf, bc it moisturizes rlly well & gets rid of dryness, without looking or feeling greasy. after applying my skin feels refreshed & hydrated. it leaves my skin feeling so soft! it also creates a good base for my makeup. plus, it’s nice knowing tht the stuff I’m putting on my face is natural & not full of chemicals. I like the packaging too, the colors r nice & the bottle is not messy. my mom picked this up for me @ Sephora for $30, it’s a bit pricey but it’s worth it. I will b repurchasing 🙂

THIS IS EASILY THE BEST MOISTURIZER I HAVE EVER USED.
I have combination skin, acne prone, occasional dry areas around the side of my mouth, and I’m the type of person who tends to get depressed about the fact that it doesn’t matter what foundation or primer I use, I always end up with an oily face/makeup that looks lacklustre 3 hours after I’ve put it on. I’ve tried nearly every drugstore moisturizer, and basically everything you’ll see if you were to go on the sephora website and search face moisturizers for oily skin. Prior to using this, I had settled on Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel and figured that was as good as It was gonna get. THANK GOD I TRIED THIS PRODUCT BY FAB. This is my holy grail moisturizer. I like to use it with the hourglass mineral veil, and together those 2 products have cut my oily-ness by 75% – I don’t get oily anymore until probably 7 hours later and even then not to the extent I used to. I credit it mostly to this moisturizer though. — It doesn’t break me out, it settles into skin quickly, and the scent is light/doesn’t at all bother my eyes. It only takes me one pump to cover my face but sometimes I like to use another half a pump because this stuff dries quickly and I don’t get the satisfaction of feeling like I’ve put it all over my face even if I have, haha.. My skin is never flaky after using this moisturizer. Yknow when you put moisturizer on but some dry areas need more, and more, and more? That hasn’t happened once yet. At first I was put off by the amount of product you get for the price, especially coming from my clinique moisturizer which gave me almost triple the product for a few dollars less and lasted me 6 months… This bottle lasts me about 2 and a half, but I’m fine with that because it has changed my life, my skin, and the way my makeup looks and most importantly how I feel when I look in the mirror! I suggest anyone give this a try!

I wish there was a Nobel Prize for Skin Products because I would definitely give it to this lotion.
Last week my skin was giving me bloody hell. It’s very dry where I live and lately, with Fall looming on the horizon, it’s been getting even drier (if that is possible) with the result that my skin became red, burning, flaky dry and super uncomfortable, especially around the nose and around the eyes, and wearing foundation became almost an impossibility. I tried using less drying cleansers, but it did not work. And my usual oil-free moisturizers were no help, either
I read the glowing reviews for this on the Sephora website, and since I was going there, I decided to ask for a sample. Believe everything good they say about this skin savior. I followed pretty much my usual routine: I removed MU with DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (my other HG), washed my face with their Mild Soap, and then patted this lovely lotion over all my face, insisting on the most irritated parts, day and night (three times a day when not wearing MU).
After three days of that my skin is calm, even, moisturized, the redness, flakiness and burning are gone, fdt goes on super smoothly, and – wonder of wonders – no break outs (and believe me, I fairly slathered this stuff on).
The consistency is thicker than any other lotion I tried, and although it’s not greasy, it’s not gel-dry, either. No scent. At $28 before tax, for an 8 oz bottle it’s not exactly cheap. But the results were so incredible, I think I will actually buy it to keep it around for emergencies. I am very impressed. And my skin is very grateful.
