I have been using this along with the Ultra Calming gel cleanser and the Ultra Calming day lotion spf30 for five days and I have noticed a DRAMATIC difference in my very unhappy sensitive face. I think I was using too harsh of ingredients on my face as my face finally feels and looks much better. i was peeling and my skin looked cracked and old. makeup didnt settle right….and I’m not a user of Afeeno….but I was desperate and wanted to just start with a clean slate from my other routine and see if this line helped and it did. No reaction at all and my face is super sensitive. Very happy with this line. I was starting to be embarrased to go to work because my face was breaking out and just looked horrible….in five days this has turned my face around DRAMATICALLY!

Not bad but not great either. It absorbed quickly into my skin & my face felt soft the next morning. It didn’t bother me that much but I’m surprised it stung my skin a little because it was supposed to be for sensitive skin. If you have super sensitive skin this is not a product you want.
I decided to try this product because it was on sale but will not buy it again. I usually use Complex 15 with a drop of Kosmea Rosehip Oil for day and night. I will resume my night regimen of Complex15/Kosmea after this jar is used up. I find this combo a better bang for my buck and less harsh on my skin.

I love this night cream. It’s not too heavy for my skin, which is combo and slightly acne prone, but it leaves it so soft when I wake up in the morning and has never made me break out. It has never burned my skin but my skin isn’t overly sensitive. It also has helped reduce the redness on my nose and cheeks. I use this along with the day cream in the morning and they work perfectly together. 100% recommend

Burned my skin

I bought this since I was having issues with allergies. This stung upon application like alcohol was evaporating from it. Do not recommend because of this, though I have used it when my skin is feeling less sensitive. The one thing is that it is not greasy and you can apply makeup on top, leaving me with a nice finish. It did not break me out. Since their target market is people with sensitive skin, I do not understand why it stings. If it did not, it would be a great product.

I only use this for emergencies, and at least in those cases it works just fine: I had a terrible reaction to an chemical exfoliant last year that resulted on red rash all over my face which on top of ugly, was also very itchy. Well, I used the ultra-calming for less than a week -unfortunately along with a steroid cream to relieve the itchiness- and it worked just fine. The redness disappeared after the 3rd-4rth day, and the itchiness just a couple of days later. Of course I was too afraid to use any other cream for the next month or so, so I stayed loyal to ultra-calming both day & night for a while, but when summer came, this was simply too oily for my skin. I used it again in winter because I often get dry patches, and it calmed them down immediately.
All in all, I like this cream, but at 39 years old, I need something more than a simple moisturizer on a daily basis. It feels nice to have this on hand should something upset my skin, but there are other creams out there who can manage that and make my skin appear firmer as well; I think:) So no, I would not rebuy this right now.

Horrible…..This only made my skin worse. The scent is to strong, the cream feels oily in a way but very thin, and it kind of stung. This cream made my face turn into a oil slick and created pimples. The price is so not worth it since the product is no good. Don’t give into this piece of junk!!

Horribly scented, it’s not that it smells that bad but it just hits you in the face, very floraly and perfume like. This contains feverfew which could potentialyl actually irritate skin further, and not to mention the jar packaging won’t keep the ingredient stable. As far as moisturizng goes, I feel like this coats the skin, but doesn’t truly moisturize or benefit the skin in any way. Skip this, it will not reduce redness, and has no benefical ingredients, or stand out moisturizing properties.

Ok, I get the bad reviews on this product, but I also really love it! When I first started using this moisturizer, I also started using the Ultra Calming face wash as well. My skin had a transitional period that was awful. My face would burn and I started getting dry patches on my dry skin that I’ve been battling and won, well until I started using this stuff. I did notice the redness in my face become less and less, well, red, so I kept on using it, hoping that it was just a transition and it would go away. It did. The burning and irritation stopped after about a week and now my face is sooo soft, the redness hasn’t completely went away, but it is completely and totally less prominent than before. I suggest trying to work through the first week or so of using this product.

I’m really surprised by the low rating of this product, and I hope it doesn’t discourage people to buy this product. I think it’s great, and it really does help with redness over time. People who complain about the scent are over exaggerating, it’s not strongly scented, it’s a light, sweet, herbal scent – if you don’t like that sort of thing it’s not a reason to give this product a low rating. It’s not the most moisturizing, but it does reduce redness, just use it with a hydrating serum if you have extremely dry skin. Also, this product has never made my face sting.
edit:
I think if you apply too much of this product, it stings. Also, doesn’t seem to be working very well anymore, I can understand why others don’t like it, even though I do find it moisturizing enough.
