I received a small jar of this as a gift in a set and was excited to try it. Oddly, it made my skin feel dry a while after using. I looked up the ingredients and found it is at least 90% water, glycerin, and silicones. It is maybe 10% good skin ingredients, and leaves my skin feeling tight and dry. It consists of less than 1% of the Napiers Original Formula, which is touted as the base treatment of their products. It’s near $40 price is ridiculous for cream made of this, and comes in plastic, pharmaceutical-like packaging. Their website says “belief uses true herbs as its MAIN ingredients” and touts “the power of high quality natural ingredients.” This all seems deceptive to me. At the very least, it is vastly overpriced. People with extremely oily skin might like it. In my own experience, it strips my skin and has a terrible lasting effect on its texture and hydration content.

I have tried other moisturizers for my skin to help with dryness, none of which helped banish the rough, flaky desert and I felt like they just sat on top or felt heavy but wasn’t moisturizing enough. Upon applying this brand, it immediately absorbs like water hydrating my cells. The difference is immense. My skin texture looks and feels smooth again and is no longer flaky! I am so joyful. This is really an amazing, intensive moisturizer! Just what I needed especially as winter rolls around.
Con: This product contains fragrance (citronellol and limonene) which is the only thing setting it back. This is probably what was irritating my sensitive skin because my skin had red reactions in certain places which is really my pet peeve. Otherwise I would have given it 5 star.

To start off I have been struggling with extremely dry, flaky skin for a few years now. My HG moisturizer is Dr. Jart’s ceramidin but Belif’s true cream does not disappoint. If you have moderately dry skin this will work very well for you. I haven’t found a moisturizer that’s come close to the ceramidin cream but I’d say this is almost there.

I just love this moisturiser. It’s hard to get down here in New Zealand and is expensive, however it is so worth it. My skin has uneven tone and I suffer from redness. I apply morning and night and it has made such a difference. My skin is now smooth and even!!

This is the most effective moisturizer when my moisture barrier is out of whack due to acne topicals. It’s the only moisturizer that REALLY penetrated and left me moisturized and not leaving my skin tight after an hour. Also, I initially had 2 sample sizes of this and they lasted me weeks before I purchased a full size.

This is a good hydrating cream as it really does provide a lot of moisture. I have been using it in dry winter weather, pregnant and while suffering a cold… and my skin has not been dry at all. It is suitable for daytime and nighttime use. This said, I do wonder if it, at first, caused me to have more clogged pores… I’m unsure as I was using two new products at once. It does have a very very light citrus scent (grapefruit/ kumquat?) that is noticeable only during application. The scent doesn’t seem to bother me though. I would use this cream again but I think I would rather buy it on offer (as the price is too high, in my opinion).

I’ve gone through a few jars of this moisturizer and I really like it. It’s substantial but doesn’t feel too thick. I didn’t have any problems with breakouts or congestion using this and I have combo/oily skin, though I’ve read that it’s better for people with dry skin. I use at night it either alone or with a few drops of oil. My skin always feels soft and smooth when I wake up. The only knock on it is that it’s pricey but I will likely purchase again at some point.
Definitely recommend!

I REALLY wanted to like this due to all the rave reviews, but sadly this broke me out. This product has many “exotic” plant extracts and oils, so I caution people with sensitive or reactive skin to be on the look out for irritation or pimples. This has a medicinal/herbal type of smell, some people may say it smells like citrus.
I will say though, this DID moisturize my skin, quite well actually! It comes in a jar type of packaging, which I don’t hate but other people may not like it.
It’s definitely on the pricy side for the amount you get, but I think it would be worth it if you can get this product to work for you. I will be returning this back to Sephora.

This moisturizer smells incredible–very fresh and herbal. I also love the thick gel-cream texture. Unfortunately, and contrary to its name, this just isn’t all that moisturizing. For the price ($38 for 1.68 fl oz), I won’t repurchase. The jar packaging is also suboptimal.

I am always on the lookout for the perfect moisturizer for my combo skin. It’s oily and breakout prone, but also dry in part because of the actives I use. I’ve cycled through many products but none really hit the spot, either not being moisturizing enough, or making be break out instantly. I’m so glad to have found this product – which delivers instant moisture that makes my skin look plump and soft, and it doesn’t break me out. At all. It’s like a unicorn product. Especially because the price is, IMO, not unreasonable ($38 for 1.68 oz), especially compared to higher-end products that work less well.
ETA: A few weeks down the road I believe this has been congesting my skin, which was looking more bumpy and uneven. I stopped using this and my skin went back to normal. I didn’t change the rating because this product does seem moisturizing and might really help some people, but maybe take it slowly if you have clog-prone skin.
