Excellent moisturiser for oily or combo skin. I use it after washing my face or having a shower, and it soaks in and “resets” my face, getting rid of dryness but leaving my skin matte. Although there is no fragrance added, I find it has a light, pleasant bubblegummy smell. The packaging is quite bulky but the airless pump works very well to get all the product out.

I have been using this moisturizer for probably 5 or 6 years, not necessarily because I love it. I have sensitive, dry skin and this moisturizer doesn’t really feel hydrating, especially overnight. I don’t think this is intended to be used at night, actually. One of the mysteries of this cream is that zinc oxide is one of the first listed ingredients, implying that it may function as a very light sunscreen– yet it doesn’t have an spf rating. It’s a very light lotion with a faint scent that dissipates quickly, and it dries very matte on my face. There are several ingredients I’d prefer to avoid, like denatured alcohol. I’d switch to a different Burt’s Bees product if they didn’t all contain irritating fragrance. So I’ve never felt like this was the best moisturizer for me, yet I’ve been using it for years.
Anyway, I’m approaching 30, so I thought I’d try to replace it with something a little more hydrating, better suited to my skin type and my needs. I was ready to get into some high-end skincare if necessary, and I had a fairly strict set of parameters: no fragrance and no essential oils, which excluded many natural products, and no parabens, BHT, or denatured alcohol, which excluded most other products. After about 2 months of research, I settled on a barrier-restoring serum and a rich creamy moisturizer from two different natural lines. Patch tested both on my wrist at different times. Then several days of light application on one side of my face. Finally, full face application… and then the most extreme reaction I’ve ever had. My face felt like it was burning, I had red patches all over my cheeks and neck, my eye were watering so badly I could hardly see while driving, and I had a pounding headache. After I realized the new products were likely causing the reaction, I rinsed my face thoroughly and applied the Burt’s Bees. Instantly soothed. It just melted right into my skin.
All in all I think this is a good product. It’s not glamorous, but it does what it claims: moisturizes without redness or irritation. The ingredients are good, if a little inexplicable (what is cotton extract even?). It’s reasonably priced, and easily found at Walgreens. Once my skin has completely recovered from this reaction, I’ll begin looking for a new moisturizer. Until then, I’m applying Burt’s Bees sensitive moisturizer like I always have.

This moisturizer has a nice, light feel and is unscented. I also like the container it comes in. Unfortunately, even though it’s for sensitive skin, I found it made my skin sting a bit and it felt drying overall. If you tend more toward sensitive/oily, you might have better luck with this. My skin is quite dry and this just wasn’t moisturizing enough for me. I much prefer Burt’s Bees Intense Hydration Day Lotion.

I’m not a fan of this product. I got a sample of this with a purchase a while ago and I tried it yesterday and it’s so runny and watery. Also, I used it for the first time yesterday after the sample pack sitting there for a month or two and it separated, really badly. There was water at first and then the white cream.
On my skin the feeling was ok, I felt like I was applying greasy water on my face, which is not really a good feeling! Also, it took a long time to dry and it still left a greasy feeling. I used it at night so I can’t comment on it under makeup however given that it took so long to dry, I don’t think it would be that great!

Did not work for my oily skin.
It went on nice and felt nice but in the end my skin was too greasy.
For my son who has very dry skin and red cheeks this did help calm the redness and make his skin softer but did not take away the dryness.

Only problem for me, is that is doesn’t wear under makeup AT ALL!! As just a moisturizer, it’s just fine. Did not break me out, doesn’t irrigate my skin, goes on and dries quickly…but, no matter what kind of makeup I use (high end, or drugstore) it look horrible. I’ll still use it on “no makeup days’ but, I would not recommend or repurchase. Sorry Bert & your bee’s!

It is very lightweight therefore doesnt really do a good job of moisturizing my dry skin. I am using it kust to finish since 3 months but now that its winter I will def need smth More moisturizing. No oil. No scent. Not enough moisture. Will not buy again. Too bad because I liked how it’s cleAn ingredients-wise.

I used this product for about three weeks and had to stop using it because I was breaking out HORRIBLY. I mean, even in places I never break out in. I was using this in conjunction with the Olay Fresh Effects Shine Minimizing Cleanser and it’s just not a good combination UGH!
This product did keep my skin nice and moisturized, albeit maybe even a little TOO moisturized but I just can’t deal with the breakout. It even looks like my pores across my nose and cheeks have gotten larger o.O
Oh well. Still on the quest to find the holy grail moisturizer.

Didn’t give it a completely bad rating as I wasn’t educated enough before buying the product. Acne prone girls stay away- corn starch is a breeding ground for bacteria… As told to me by an esthetician… Also many other comedogenic ingredients in this moisturizer. I broke out badly… Also doesn’t feel like it sinks in my skin, almost as if a wax is sitting on top of my skin… Hate that feeling

I have a love/hate relationship with this product.
I’ve been using it for several months, just this moisturizer alone, and not the whole moisturizer line (day, night, and eye cream). While it doesn’t make my skin greasy and oily like most moisturizers, my skin still feels somewhat dry after using it. The formula isn’t as great as they want you to think. To avoid being extra greasy, they put corn starch in it, as well as kaolin clay, and alcohol (the drying alcohol, not the fatty kind). All of which are drying to the skin.
It moisturizes some but my skin still feels tight after use. However, it is non-irritating and does help with my redness, so I keep using it. I can’t afford expensive creams, so this does the trick.
I just bought the whole line today (minus the cleanser, which I tried and didn’t like), so hopefully the night cream will make up for the lack of moisture in the day cream.
