My skin really responds well to this product. It has enough retinol in it to give me the benefits I want- even skin tone, prevents/lessens breakouts, plus I’m also really liking the Vitamin C and SPF 30. Although it’s not comparable to prescription strength retinoids, Neutrogena’s retinol products are quite decent, and this one is no exception. My skin is fairly tolerant to retinols, so I find that this product doesn’t contain enough actives in it to cause me any stinging or peeling, however this may not be the case for those who have not used retinols before, so ymmv. An unexpected bonus is that I’m finding this product gives enough moisture to provide decent hydration, without turning my skin into an oil slick by lunchtime. I’ll likely need to boost it or replace it with something heavier in the winter months, but for now I’ll continue to use and repurchase.
