I enjoy using this product! It is part of my oil cleansing routine in the morning (mixed in with some Vit E too) and also my night time oil mixture that I apply on as the final step of my skincare regime. Definitely would recommend!

Jojoba Oil is one of nature’s best-kept secrets for oily skin types or those prone to oily areas/patches.
Now up until late last year, before my skin started to head more towards the ‘normal’ category, this was my HG moisturizer every morning. All I needed was a couple of drops of this and I was good to go when it came to hydration. Jojoba oil is definitely not a product for those with drier skin types – unless the skins’ hydration levels are adequately topped up with another product afterwards.
My personal experience taught me that this oil can help to reduce my skins production of sebum (to an extent) whilst keeping my skin supple at the same time. It also helped fade blemishes. Luckily I had zero purging or any other of the issues I’m seeing listed here. If anything it helped to reduce comedones, leaving my skin feeling really soft.
My other use for Jojoba oil was (and still is) as a deep cleansing oil. I would apply a dime size amount to my face whilst it was still dry and gently massaged into my skin for 60 seconds, before using a cotton pad to wipe off, followed by a quick rinse. This not only helped completely dissolve makeup but also kept a thin film of the oil on my skin that helped retain moisture and not allow my skin to dry out. On the days when I used m/u and removed it this way, no other moisturizer or product was required after, the cleansing method was more than sufficient.
A true multi-tasker that won’t break the bank…

Doesn’t break me out, but drying to the skin. Very good for psoriasis! The zinc in it is what makes it great for itch. Can’t use on my face though due to it being a slight astringent. Drying!

For the reference, I have normal dehydrated sensitive rosacea-prone skin.
I couldn’t bring myself to buy the Dessert Essence, the packaging is too ugly, so I’ve got mine USDA Organic Cold Pressed Oil in a fancy dropper bottle from Amazon.
For the reference, I have normal dehydrated rosacea-prone sensitive skin.
Pros:
– this is the first oil that didn’t cause any breakouts or irritation/ rosacea flare up (I can’t use coconut oil, argan oil, olive oil, rosehip oil, apricot oil, and any essential oils);
– I like how liquid it is. Super runny and easy to spread all over the face;
– it cuts-off natural sebum production. Great for oily skins or oily T-zone.
Cons:
– it takes ages for my skin to absorb it, definitely more than 2 hours (same for any other oil, my skin doesn’t get well along with oils in general);
– it is drying;
– I can’t put sunscreen over it, if I do it dries the crap out of my face (the sunscreen isn’t drying on its own). If I put something with silicones over this oil, my skin will break out. If I put it on the days when I use Retin-A my skin will peel off.
Overall it’s a great product to use at the night time to balance the oiliness of the skin. I don’t see dry or dehydrated skin types enjoy using it.
My skin is the right type to benefit from this product.

Add me to the list of people this doesn’t work for and I mean really doesn’t work: horrific acne and clogging even just after a few applications, drying and irritating, just terrible. I used to use it on my scalp but I started noticing little pimples around my hairline so it’s been relegated to shaving I’m afraid.

Pretty sad how long it took me to figure out it was the packaging that put me off this stuff at first. The bottle is a bit leaky and unglamorous. It’s hard to get the right amount, and one of the keys is not using too much. But finally, it has been doing for me what the glowing reviews promise. With continued use, it has definitely reduced the bumpy feeling of clogged pores (maybe even better than BHAs). I just massage some in for a few minutes and then wash my face as usual. And it’s a great moisturizer: just rub a couple of drops in wet hands and press onto to a wet face. (I use Avene mineral water if I have it.) I’m sensitive, prone to redness, and it’s a rare unicorn of a moisturizer that doesn’t break me out. I’m totally surprised by the smoothness and the reduced redness after just a few weeks of jojoba oil.

Been using for years under moisturizer to help combat flakiness from daily benzoyl peroxide use. Will continue to buy!

I really like this oil for winter skincare. I like to add a drop or 2 into moisturizer for my driest areas – my cheeks, chin, and lower legs. I also like it for makeup removal. I used to use olive oil to remove sunscreen and waterproof eye makeup, but somehow this is less irritating. That feels heavy and greasy. This glides on better and my skin glows. I like it for removing wax bits from my at-home hair removal. It doesn’t work as cuticle oil for me, I prefer sweet almond. Packaging is messy so I decanted it into a smaller dropper with a snap lid. I will buy this again, but it will last for a long time because you get a lot.

This is an amazing jojoba oil. I know there are some on the market that are cheaper or don’t require online ordering, but this one is worth it for the high quality. I use a few drops at night mixed into the AHA+ and my skin always looks better the next morning.

I have combination skin and sensitive cheeks. I gave the ocm another try using jojoba oil and with in a three days i broke out with hundreds of white heads.it did leave my face soft. I only use it for my hair. It took me three weeks to get my face back to normal.

I LOVE THIS!! But before I elaborate you must understand jojoba oil does not work for everyone as you can see from other reviews which is a shame because this has been a miracle for me.
So I started using oils as a moisturiser about two years ago and I have not turned back to a normal moisturiser since. Even if you don’t choose jojoba oil I highly recommend just using an oil for a moisturiser anyway, they are soo good. However, I started with hemp seed oil which was great but was hard to store as it went rancid quickly so it had to be kept in the fridge as all times so travelling with it was hard. I had heard lots about jojoba oil but was hesitant to try it because of the huge contrast in reviews. I don’t know what made me change my mind and buy jojoba oil that day but I made the right choice. I didn’t buy the acne.org jojoba oil but I did buy an organic one and I’m sure they are very similar. Anyway I just popped some on at night (one drop on each cheek, one drop on my nose and chin and 3 drops on my forehead on slightly damp skin which helps to lock in moisture, i use slightly more at night and in winter for extra moisture) I was just happy to have an oil that was easy to store I wasn’t expecting to see what I saw the next morning…
HELLO GLOWY SKIN, oh boy it had only been on night but I could definitely see a difference, my skin was plump and smooth and I was shocked because I thought I already had alright skin and didn’t expect to see this, I was quite worried I was going to break out. It had also helped to fade some marks left by previous spots. So you can see I was very surprised.
I use this oil every morning and night now, you do have to work it into the skin for about two minutes, but this is a perfect opportunity for a facial massage and to relax. I have used this under makeup (powder foundation) and it stayed well but I’m not a makeup guru so I dont know if it will give the desired effect for a professional makeup look. This oil has also helped to reduce my oil production as it is similar to the sebum produced by our own skin so it basically mimics the sebum so your skin thinks it has produced enough oil. I used to have to blot my nose at least once a day but now I rarely get shiny.
So back to the break outs and negative effects some people see. Personally the benefits or this oil are so good I would risk the side effects just to know if it works for my skin or not. Obviously I don’t know how bad it is to have those side effects and someone may disagree with me, but I think its best to try it out than rather not knowing and potentially missing out on this amazing product. At least try it when you aren’t going out soon or on a small part of your face. Typically the side effects are the result of your skin purging out impurities because this oil also helps to detoxify skin and cleanse it so pimples and break outs should clear within 2 weeks. If you get an extreme reaction or it doesn’t clear up in a month then discontinue use. (Im not a skin specialist so this is my opinion based on what I have seen on others)
To conclude this is my skin staple, it is the product I would keep if I was only allowed one. Did I mention this oil helps you skin stay youthful, it is often noted that people with oily skin age better, so using an oil to moisturise especially one that is similar to our own sebum will help prevent wrinkles.
I could go on for ages about this oil and this review has taken up about 30 minutes of my day (lol) because I just keep thinking of things to say but to wrap it up I suggest you try this, I rarely get spots now and I dread to imagine what I would be using without this!

BROKE ME OUT LIKE CRAZY!!! My skin was finally healing and getting rid of all the acne thanks to the dermaDoctor products!! Then I just had to go and mess it all up! A lot of people claim this actually unclogged pores and cleared acne but it did the exact opposite for me! I put it on before I went to bed and when I woke up I discovered many huge swollen pimples on my forehead (the painful type) since using the aint misbehavin’ line by dermadoctor I hadn’t had any new break outs so I know it could only be the jojoba oil.

This kind of stuff is hit or miss and for me it was a miss. It broke me out but it’s the type of thing you have to try for yourself before you decide wether its for you or not and from there don’t look back lol.

I love jojoba oil. It has never made me break out. It’s nice to use on lips too or mix it with a moisturizer to reduce flakiness. Definitely a great “beauty oil” and amazing for acne prone skin. Jojoba oil is technically a liquid wax ester and not an oil at all. Definitely give it a try. It has good glide and slip. Doesn’t absorb instantly, but gives you some playtime. It does leave a light sheen on the skin when using it. I transfer my product into a dropper container. The packaging is not good as it is an oil, so it tends to get everywhere if you are not careful and that is why a dropper container is so much easier to use.

After trying oil blends such as Tatcha, Boscia, and others I am using this solely to remove my makeup. It is inexpensive and does the job of thoroughly dissolving my makeup without ever breaking me out. I have patted this on after toning to see how I liked it as a mositurizer, but I found it too heavy for my oily skin.

This is a light golden oil, that is quite dry and absorbs rather quickly. It has a faint mild scent and is about $15 for the bottle. It irritated my skin, giving me clogs, and my skin is combo dry and prone to dermatitis. I have mild rosacea and alternate finacea with retin a so things either work really well for me or not at all and this oil is the latter.
So far, oils that haven’t worked are coconut, argan, rosehip, epo, hemp, maracuja, marula. The one that has worked is sea buckthorn, specifically sibu.

HG PRODUCT FOR ME!!
I ran out of my PC Oil Booster trial and decided to try Jojoba since people said it’s good for oily/acne prone folks.
My skin is combo, gets a little drier in winter and doesn’t breakout unless a product irritates me. After using my retinol, I like to add a little more moisture since retinol dries me out a bit.
My hair is fine but I have a lot of it, which means that using too much conditioner or thicker oily makes it greasy super quick. When I skip conditioner that doesn’t work either because it looks poofy/frizzy and lifeless. One drop rubbing into my hands the ends of my hair works perfectly.
My hands are often very dry, but most creams are sooo greasy and don’t absorb quickly or leave a super shiny residue behind.
Well, excuse my French, but I’ll be damned if this little $9 bottle didn’t solve all my problems. No breakouts, nice treatment for ends of hair, and I use it at night on my hands and it definitely helps.
HOWEVER, I do recommended transferring this into a blue or brown pharmacy apothecary glass bottle. It’s easier to control and keep protected from sun/light. Awesome, awesome product for so cheap <3

After reading the nice reviews about this product, I said to myself that I have to try it! I did and it didn’t go well. I tried it from many brands. It is horrible.
As a cleanser- I put a few drops in my palms, I warmed up the oil, applied it on my face and neck, massaged, washed it off first with a cotton pad soaked in warm water and then with my facial wash, followed up by my toner. Gave me deep cysts and some pimples.
As a moisturiser- the first few times I put it on dry skin and I noticed that the next morning my skin was dry with some white patches so the next evening I put it on wet skin and in the morning my skin was looking better. But after just few days, this stuff gave me pimples and cysts. I thought I am having the purging days but after a few weeks of trying different brands, I just had to give up on it because it gave me some horrible, deep, painful cysts on my neck and on my face that lasted for weeks to go away and left scars!

I’ve used a many diff brands of jojoba oil and they all work great! There’s no comparison when it comes to removing eye makeup. It takes off every trace of makeup while moisturizing your eyelids. Better than olive oil because its less thick and greasy.

I’ve been using this jojoba oil for years. I used to have acne prone skin that was very oily. At the time I was using benzoyl peroxide to treat my acne. I started using this oil by adding a couple drops to my moisturizer of choice. I like it so much that I have never stopped. I am now 40 and I no longer have oily acne prone skin, and in fact if I am not careful, I can dry my skin out. I still love to add a couple drops of this oil to my moisturizer. Even though my skin care regimen has changed drastically, I have never stopped using the jojoba oil. I love it. The ONLY complaint I have is that the bottle can get messy. I just clean it with warm water here and there. This product was great for my skin and has never broken me out. I’m still on my first bottle because I only need a drop or two at a time.
