I recently moved to Spain and for the one month of cold weather / dry skin season we get a year I thought I’d give this a try after reading good reviews. I was previously using origins make a difference plus gel – which I’ve used for a couple of years now, which combined with a kiehls serum (switch between the pore refining or the hydroplumping serum) usually seems to do the trick – but my skin seemed to be drier than usual – hence the change. I bought the thicker one without SPF for all skin types.
OH MY GOODNESS – the pain! I have never had sensitive skin but by about midday my entire face was just on fire. I stuck with it in case it was something else (not that I’m a masochist – just refuse to believe I’d wasted 43 euros on a skincare purchase)…but was like it for three days and finally gave up. This is highly perfumed and not moisturizing at all. The only thing I would say is it rubs in nicely.
Dreadful product. Avoid avoid avoid!

Didn’t do anything for my skin. My face did not like this day cream at all. I tried to use it for a month but it left my face just dull and dry. Will definitely not repurchase this. The cream has a really nice smell though.

Moisturizes well and doesn’t leave my skin too shiny. I found the scent a little too strong for my liking and I didn’t see a lot of benefits with this compared to other creams I have used. There are other moisturizers that I prefer to this one (ordinary natural moisturizing factor, clarins hydraquench, Peter Thomas Roth Water Drench Cloud Cream, Kate Somerville Goat milk cream). Would not repurchase

I used to love previous version of this cream, but can’t say the same about new one.
The texture isn’t the same as before. There is no silky soft feeling ones applied, and unlikely previous version it brakes out my sensitive skin.

This is wonderfully moisturizing. A pea-size amount is enough for my whole face…ALL DAY. I like that it has SPF, but doesn’t leave a white cast and it’s very light. However, I just wish it didn’t have a fragrance. It is super strong at first but fades after a minute or so. I prefer to use fragrance-free products since some fragrances irritate my skin. Luckily, this did not. I gave this 4 lippies instead of 5 because of the strong fragrance and it’s expensive. Otherwise, I find this moisturizer works very well for my dry-to-normal skin (depending on the season).

Multi-active day cream by Clarins is a strongly powdery fragranced, rich emollient day cream. The scent lingers all day. The formula contains glycerin, shea butter, and trehalose which has water binding properties. This also contains quinoa seed extract which is supposed to increase collagen and elastin in skin plus even out skin tone. Due to to the strong scent of this product and the potentially irritating preservative, methylisothiazolinone I did not use this cream long enough to notice any anti-aging benefits. Methylisothiazolinone is a known skin irritant and meant to be used in rinse-off skin care products only. This cream is heavy and it took about 10 minutes for it to sink in and not feel greasy. For a rich cream for dry to very dry skin I prefer using Attopalm moisturizing cream or Dr Scheller Pomegranate cream.

I am 26 years old and have skin that does what ever it wants when ever it wants. I have tried so many creams, using ddml for a long time. This cream is heaven!!! it have changed to overall appearance of my skin in just 2 months of use. I get compliments daily from complete strangers. My makeup looks better and last longer. It have an amazing scent of rose and it is so beautiful. The gel formula is my favorite but I also love the original formula with SPF 20. Use the gel in summer (or I will, these products just got re formulated so make sure you ask for the new MA formula) and Ill use the SPF in the winter. I love sharing this new products with all my girls. It is so great I even bought it for my bff for her bday and she loves it to. Totally different skin types, color, everything. BEST DAY CREAM EVER! I have never looked more baby faced. Comes in 4 formulas, only one with SPF

I have been on a bit of a Clarins kick lately trying a few of their products as I was dissatisfied with the brand I was using. While it does have the floral-ish scent I have found that most brands products marketed specifically towards men are usually inferior. So, I jumped head first into it, buying a full size right off the bat and have been pleasantly surprised. Although it does have a scent it dissipates rather quickly and usually by the time I get around to applying my sunscreen in the morning its mostly gone. I will say that there was an adjustment period. Where my skin was not totally happy with the cream for a few days and threatened to do something but than changed its mind and decided to love it. I do not have what you would call sensitive skin either so I am not sure I would recommend this to anyone that does. It has a nice texture thats not too heavy, goes on smoothly and absorbs quickly. I do however wish it was not in a jar since I find them entirely more messy than just a tube or a pump, as I do not like to leave the jar open while I apply it. I have to do a juggling act to put the cap back on with product on my fingers.

I have been using the while Clarins line of skincare for 2 mos now. I got a sample of the reformulated active day for dry skin. I used it twice and I broke out in hives. I never had any problems with the old formula but something in the new one is not for me. I was very disappointed because I need more hydration from Clarins products and they don’t have what I need.

I bought this daycream because my skin is very dry and I wanted to protect it from the first signs of aging. As we all know, people with dry skin get wrinkles a lot earlier. That is why I started using this daycream when I was 24.
The daycream comes in a pretty jar with quite a lot of product. The consistency of the product is quite thick, but it melts into your skin very easily. I have no problems with applying my makeup over it and the makeup doesn’t slip and slide throughout the day. My skin looks very healthy and feels moisterised all day long!
I will probably keep using this daycream until I have to switch to an anti-wrinkle cream.
