Meh, too expensive for what it is and hugely fragrances. I went back to Cerave. Its very fine but its just a ho-hum product that is too expensive. Pls try before you buy. This is a really basic category and lots of brands doing it well.

I got the night cream for dry to normal skin. It’s a very rich cream. I like that it has Hyaluronic acid which is very good for moisturizing. It also has other planet extract that claims to restore firmness etc; however, those are not clinically proven as other ingredients such as Retinol, AHA. Anyway, I got this because I was suffering dryness and it was winter, so I believe that this will give me a boost on the moisture level. Anyhow, this cream causes me to break out; plus, it has a pretty strong fragrance. While I like the smell too, but I always wonder if the fragrance will irritates my skin. Maybe I should have tried version for the normal to oily skin type. Anyway, will not repurchase and actually did return the cream.

As a matter of fact I love Clarins products but I was quite disappointed by this one. I refer to the Hydra-balance for normal skin for humid climates, in the light blue jar (I got a sample tube), with SPF 15.
Probably I was expecting to get one gel-like emulsion (like others I used in the past), this one is a creamy-cream, thick and needing a good massage before complete absorbtion. It does not soak in…and this should be avoided in humid climates.
It’s just spring here – not so hot yet – and this cream makes my skin greasy right after application. So this was not the goal!
Imagine what happens after one hour when you wear foundation on top!
I would use it at night but it has SPF in. .. I love the scent, though. But a not buy for me, sorry.

i hate clarins moisturisers, they are all wrong!
they just look elegant but are nothing but cream perfumes with skin irritating ingredients. bad 🙁

I had perfect skin for 30 years then I started using Clarins. It makes me break out. I tried this moisturiser (the updated version from the od one) as the sales assistant said it was improved. BTW – I also used Clarins toner, serum, and a multitude of other potions. All bad for me. Fine skin, tiny pores. I just can’t use it. Sorry Clarins.
Nope… It clogs my pores and gives me horrible bumpy textured skin. Yuk. Still trying to clear my pores.I have thrown away about $400 of product.

I got the normal to dry version. It does moisturize well and the fragrance is less heady than other Clarins’ ones, but it contains Sodium lauryl sulfate in the ingredient list! What does SLS do in a moisturizer?! My face is very sensitive to SLS (so no Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser for me) and it turned bright red and felt hot after I tried this cream for a couple of times.

My new HG for the winter. This stuff practically saved my dehydrated skin and I’ll buy it over and over. My only two problems were the packaging and the pretty strong fragrance, but it’s definitely worth it if you need real moisture.

I received a generous jar of this as a GWP – it’s rather solid…is this normal or has it dried out? Anyway, this doesn’t stop the cream from being a wonderful product. The instructions indicate warming a little in palms and fingertips (so I gathered that it would be normal if it was a little solid), and the cream just melted instantly. It absorbed into my skin wonderfully and left my skin really soft. You really only need a little amount, and although I was skeptical at first due to the texture, this product didn’t clog my pores or cause any breakouts. This is great as a winter night cream as it doesn’t contain SPF. My sample came in a glass jar which is pretty insanitary, and I would presume the same for the full sized jar, but given the texture it would probably not work well in a pump.

This cream is a godsend for my skin. I get really dehydrated and this stuff makes a huge difference. I have found with the higher quality products a little goes a long way. So while it seems a little pricey- it lasts a long time. I love it. I mostly use it at night- because there is no SPF in it. If my skin is really bad I’ll layer it under something else in the morning, too.

This cream is absolutley wonderful! I was given a tester and was a little doubtful at first. But today after cleansing I tried it and god it went on so smoothly and absorbed quite well. It left my skin supple and comfortable all day! I can’t wait to by this, unfortunately it is a bit pricey, but I think I’ll go for it! The only issue is u pay alot for what you get (which isn’t much). I’m not sure how much it will last, since I have a tester I don’t know how much will come in the real thing. Overall its just a fabulous cream!!!
Edit: I think this might be making me break out so there is no way im spending my money on this!
