I find that this product makes my skin even more oily then it already is. It doesn’t seem to set into my skin, instead it just sits at the top.

I love that this is unscented and doesn’t irritate my insanely sensitive skin. However, it’s just not hydrating enough for me unless I slather a ton on and walk around looking like a grease ball until it sinks in. It’s not a bad product in any way, and I’ll use up my jar that I have, but I don’t know if I’ll buy it again.

Since I’ve now decided to add serums to my skin care routine, I decided that I don’t need an expensive moisturizer with all the “bells and whistles” to go on top. At $16 (on sale) at SDM, this is a steal and does the trick!

This stuff is just no good for me. Not sure it’d be good for anyone. I have normal, mature skin, no acne or other issues.
This jar packaging is, of course, unsanitary and causes product degradation. Which I could get by if the product was any good. But it’s not, it’s basically a silicone heavy cream, and all the good stuff is way down the bottom of the list, meaning tiny amounts of the stuff.
It provides NO moisture, no plumping, no smoothing on my skin. Nothing. It sensitizes a bit on contact, probably because of the essential oils in it. And it leaves that ultra rubbery, plastic feel on the skin just like a silicone primer does. It pills if you layer it with products that contain any kind of oils. And it’s highly scented. It’s not a bad smell, but it’s strong.
I literally don’t understand why they charge what they do for it. I mean it’s because people, like me, will pay it. But it’s so not worth it. Maybe as a primer. A $150 primer.

Simple moisturizer. Simple ingredients (just water, rice bran, rice oil, aloe, collagen, glycyrrhiza (licorice), and natural vitamin E). Cost is roughly $40 for 1.2 oz. After a few weeks of use, I didn’t see any difference in my skin so I don’t plan on repurchasing.

I’m on my third tube of this day lotion. I wish I didn’t love it so much, but I’m finding that I look forward to using both the night and day creams from KB. It is a pricey brand, but the creams are seriously moisturizing and the products are all natural.

So I’m all about, and a fan of rice based skincare (Japanese Skincare in particular). I have been on the lookout for the perfect moisturizer. One that’s light and one that i could use during my pregnancy that doesn’t contain toxic/ chemical type ingredients. I basically needed something super basic that would lightly moisturize and wouldn’t cause any breakouts or clogged pores. Thank God for Komenuka Bijin!!!! This product is PERFECT!!! It is moisturizing yet really light. It has a soft milky smell that i really like and a smooth/ easily spreadable texture. The packaging is great…no germys! One bad thing is the size of the product….seriously…? When i first opened the box i was like…is this a sample or the actual product!? It could stand to be at least 1.7-2.0 ounces. I’m gonna run through this stuff quick. With all that being said i adore this moisturizer and it is my HG of right now 🙂 🙂
UPDATE: This moisturizer is good in hot weather but absolutely useless in the fall winter months. I do like how the ingredients are simple but something in this stuff kinda irritates the skin around my mouth!? Is there something in here that i don’t know about? I will finish it off as a hand cream. Won’t repurchase.

Don’t like the tube feels it leaks out more than you want. I do love the product and I love products, I have never loved a moisturizer. I have had pimples since the teens and for the first time sans Accutane I like my skin most of the time and I credit this line for a lot of that.

As with all the Komenuka Bijin products — the moisture cream is outstanding!! I only wish that the tube was bigger. It is just a lovely product to use. It melts into your skin and leaves it so soft. I have never used a product line that is so soothing and effective.
chicChamois5
Cute packaging, but there is nothing special about this moisturizer. I can find better at the drugstore.

Very expensive and one could argue average. However, I have purchased this a few times over the years and I’ve always been impressed with it’s ability to moisturize without giving me breakouts. If only it was either less expensive or they made the tube bigger, I’d consider purchasing this more often.

I feel like when it comes to Marcelle products, I always start off really excited and loving them and then after a while they turn on me. Same goes for this cream. I loved it at first- very creamy, came in beautiful packaging, not too expensive, unscented, non-irritating- essentially my perfect face cream. It didn’t do anything particularly special but when you have skin on the more sensitive side like mine, just getting something to not irritate it is an accomplishment in and of itself. It’s just not working for me now though. I’m not sure if its just because the weather is warmer and it’s a little too thick or something but whenever I apply it, no matter how little I use, it just sits on the surface of my skin and breaks me out. I find that a little odd because despite the climate, my skin is quite dry. My feelings towards it aren’t very positive right now but I will save the rest of my jar for winter and report back.

I have been using this moisturizer for roughly 10 years and I couldn’t live without it. I love it, it doesn’t cause any reaction, it’s light, fluffy and sinks into my skin within seconds. I mix in a bit of sunscreen with it every morning and my makeup goes on smooth and blends perfectly.

i find this moisturizer to be a little heavy and leaves my skin shiny. However does not sting or have any fragrance and i sometimes mix a few drops of lavender oil. It really calms my skin down and looks fresh in the morning.
EDIT: my skin broke out in huge acne cysts, i havent seen this for a long time and assume this cream is the reason.

I am currently using this moisturizer. The things that I do like about this product is that it moisturizes well, it doesn’t clog pores and it lasts a long time. The things I don’t like are that its a little expensive, it leaves a greasy residue and it doesn’t have SPF.
I don’t hate this product but I don’t like it either, I probably would not repurchase.
boastfulWhiting8
Much too basic. Didn’t wow me like the rest of the line has. Didn’t make my skin as super soft as the other stuff from this line either…

I had a sample of this. I used it at night, went to sleep, woke up in 2 hours with my face stinging and itching. I washed it off, put on my La Mer and it was fine the next morning, but needless to say, I would not try it again!
boredBoars3
This seemed like a very normal moisturizing cream, and after using it once I had red bumps all over my cheeks. Since I can’t see all the ingredients, I don’t know which one caused the irritation/breakout. Not at all impressed.

I am pretty positive that I would buy this again. The reason being, is although it doesn’t fully hydrate the dry skin on my cheeks, it leaves them feeling very dewy and soft. I really only use this on my cheeks seeing how my skin is all over the place in oiliness and dryness. I generally put it on (sometimes I skip a day or two with putting it on because of time constraints) once I get out of the shower because I find my cheeks tend to get a “shine” to them…not an oil shine, but a dry shine, but once I put this product on, it seems to go away. I LOVE that it doesn’t break me out because a lot of moisturizer creams do.
Edit 16/08/08: I have found another moisturizer that seems to work wonders on me. I think I will purchase that instead of this as this doesn’t hydrate as much as I need.

Ok I am in a love-hate relationship with this. I bought Moisture lotion, so the one to pour out of the bottle, not the thicker moisture cream from a jar. Anyways, their ingriedients are exactly the same. I am using it on my dry cheeks only because I have combo skin. It moisturizes, but I do not believe it’s the best product. Good for normal skin ppl, but not dry skin. When I saw “mineral oil” as one of the ingredients, I just want to throw it away, because mineral oil only stays on top level of the skin and won’t get absorbed by skin cells underneath. It’s cheap, big bottle, and not tested on animals. However, I am going to get something else next time.
Edit: Taking off 2 lippies as my cheeks broke out with small red whiteheads and pimps. Usually my cheeks don’t suffer from acne.

This cream is perfect for me. I went to shoppers for something cheap, non-scented, and suitable for sensitive skin. I apply this morning and night, and it keeps my skin smooth and moisturized all day long, and never makes me break out (which a lot of other moisture creams do). This is a no-frills, sensible cream that does its job well. I highly recommend this product.
