I used this moisturizer with the moisturizing face wash in the same range. My skin feels dry tight and oily after using this and my eyes feel watery and heavy too. This is the first time I tried Simple products and honestly I was not expecting this.

This cream is moisturising, however it had cause me reaction to my face which is breakouts and eye tearing out with burning sensation which causes me to tear and blink a lot, this product is meant to suit sensitive skin, but this isn’t working out for people like me with sensitive skin.

I think this is a good back up moisturiser if you are short of money and need to keep something in the house. It doesn’t give as much moisture as I would like and if you don’t rub it in properly it will sit on your skin. It does the job when money is tight and it’s a good product to stock up on in case of emergencies.

I have break out after twice applying it with so kind to skin spf30. Then get better with eucerin hypersensitive soothing cream. You get what u paid for! I might be allergy to some ingredient in this product and it was huge disappointment as I thought it suppose to be mild enough. I have combination skin, rather dry skin recently.

I bought this as I love the Simple range. I have very sensitive skin and it’s one of very few skincare brands that don’t irritate and burn my skin.
The consistency of this product is slightly gel like, it has a very light and bouncy texture. Easy to apply and smells lovely! I have a lot of natural redness around my jaw line and this cream has helped to soothe and make this less apparent. So far so good, skin looks glowy and feels very smooth.
What I would say is however, if you have very oily skin this probably isn’t for you, I do find that for a day cream it is oily/greasy, although it does dry fairly quickly. I have combination skin and it has helped to hydrate the drier areas on my face.
Will define re-purchase!

Probably one of the best moisturizers I’ve found for my skin so far. I repurchased it several times because I always found it on sale at Bed, Bath & Beyond for a few bucks and because it worked really well for my skin. Not greasy, absorbs quickly, leaves my skin soft and doesn’t break me out. I’m trying to adjust my routine to cruelty-free, and unfortunately the parent company of Simple tests on animals, so I will not be repurchasing. Also, this product disappeared from my local stores so it’s about time for a switch anyway.

I’ve used this product once or twice a week for the last 2 months and I only use it that often because I can only wear it when I’m at home not wearing make-up. If I tried to wear it under make-up my face would become very greasy. Upon initial application I always felt a cool, mild noxema type sensation and my face would be sensitive for a few hours after but it would eventually go away, didn’t really think anything of it. Until yesterday. I took a shower and I washed my face with Neutrogena Oil Free Acne wash with 2% salicylic acid which I’ve used for the last 5-6 years faithfully. Apparently, adding this Simple, perfume free, no dye skin vitamin moisturizer turned out to be recipe for disaster! I have NEVER in the 41 years I’ve been alive ever had such a reaction to any product(s) I’ve ever used. I’ve used many acne treatments, acne creams, gels, different types of moisturizers and nothing ever close to this. My face, still since yesterday, feels like I have the worst sunburn and my skin looks angry to say the least. I started researching the active ingredients to this product Homosalate 12% is the sunscreen formed from an ester (chemical compound) of salicylic acid (yikes!) Ironic how this is supposed to protect my skin from sun damage, yet the chemicals burned my face just the same without the UV rays. (thanks) The second ingredient Octisalate 5%, a chemical is an oil soluble ingredient used in sunscreen products to absorb the full spectrum of UVA rays. sunscreen manufactured by combining an ester of salicylic acid. (More!!!???) Avobenzone 3% is an oil soluble ingredient used in sunscreen products to absorb the full spectrum of UVA rays.
(there’s the greasy oily component) and last but not least Octocrylene 2.7 % It is a viscous, oily liquid that is clear and colorless. Works as a sunscreen and often causes dermatitis is children. Octocrylene is absorbed into the skin and has been shown in some studies to promote generation of potentially harmful free radicals. An increased concentration of free radicals might have contributed to the increased incidence of malignant melanoma in sunscreen-users compared to non-users. These my friends are just a few of the facts. I’m not big on reading labels, I try to keep it simple, (no pun intended) but here’s another example of luring the consumer to read “Sensitive Skin Experts” “Kind to Skin” “Perfume and Dye Free” and our world that now pushes “Organic” more than ever, we read the label and feel it’s sounds safe. Well. Clearly, it’s not. Live and learn. I’m not blaming anyone but myself for not looking more closely at what I’m putting on my face. I spent the time to write this after searching for reviews and thought if my input can help one person not do what I just did, then it was worth my time.

I bought this on clearance for $2.50, figuring I had nothing to lose. I’d have been better off saving my money.
The good: it did not make me break out.
The bad: everything else. The first thing I noticed was the unsanitary, bacteria-attracting jar packaging. A product that’s supposed to be good for sensitive skin should not be packaged this way. But occasionally there are good products in jars, so I figured that I could dump the stuff into an empty pump-bottle. This product was not worth the effort, though. The texture is that of cheap, greasy sunscreen. Despite the greasy feeling, though, it does not moisturize nearly as well as even most cheap moisturizers. I have combination skin that’s sensitive, gets dry, and breaks out easily. This left me with lots of dry patches, even when I used a lot of it. It smells funky and sunscreen-like as well. I almost never throw things out, but I tossed this in the trash after trying to make it work for a week.

Kind to Skin Vital Vitamin Day Cream with SPF 15 from Simple wasn’t that great. I wanted to like this moisturizer, & I had high hopes for it. I expected it to be better. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’m going to buy another. It’s neither the best nor the worst moisturizer. I could live without it though.
I don’t recommend this if you have oily skin like I do. It’s way too greasy for oily skin. Instead, use Simple Hydrating Light Moisturizer &/or their Protecting Light Moisturizer. Because of how this moisturizer feels & looks on my face, I can’t wear it on the street or underneath makeup. It doesn’t ever absorb into my face. It just sits on top of my skin… the greasy residue is too much for me to deal with. It doesn’t hydrate me without making me oily (well, oilier than I already am). I usually love this line; I have several other products, but I won’t buy this again. I’m going to finish it up the jar for the vitamins, SPF, & hydrating benefits.
Note: I’ve read other reviews & have noticed myself that Vital Vitamin Day Cream does separate, so shake the jar before applying it & don’t sit it on anything nice or important because the oiliness transfers & leaks

Save your money if you’re looking for hydration. This is gluey feeling, like regular sunscreen. Might as well just use regular sunscreen, then!
