This was first known as ‘Just Face Cream’, then changed to ‘Nourishing Face Cream’ and now has reverted back to ‘Just Face Cream’! It was my absolute favorite ‘basic’ moisturizer, full of really good ingredients (Rosehip seed oil, Macadamia oil, Gingko Biloba etc), no perfume and absolutely no breakouts, no matter how heavy-handedly I used it. I must have gone through 3 jars of the stuff! Always left my skin very much hydrated and dewy but not oily. I don’t know what’s changed recently as the last time I purchased this it caused acne to appear, yet strangely the ingredients on the packaging show as exactly the same as before. I stopped using it for a while and tried again with the same consequences. I then put it to one side in the hope of trying it yet again at a future date, only to open the jar and notice the smell indicates it’s turned rancid (always a problem with vegetable oil based products in hot weather) and in only a few short months. Funnily enough their ‘Calming Face Cream’ which is actually meant for my skin type exactly, broke me out eveytime I tried it, yet this, the richer moisturizer didn’t…until it did! What can I say, just like the ever-evolving product name, the effects of the product keep changing too. I don’t know which of the two things I find more baffling!

(As I’ve sampled 100s of skin, hair and m/u products over the last decade and a half, I thought it might be useful to share my top 10 must-have products, subject to change if and when I come across something more effective. I love constantly trying out new stuff – usually sample sizes via e-bay, also plenty courtesy of a friend who works at Sephora)
