I am pretty disappointed and I stopped using it after 14 days as it was just terrible. I bought it as a replacement for the Avene Skin Recovery cream which hasn’t had any fragrance and in my opinion, it is even richer than this one. It just failed so badly, and it is very expensive 😞I documented every single day in case you want more information, and do not believe it! Before you buy it I would take a look…

Whoop whoop single mom here! I love it! My kids love it as well it is amazing!! Doesn’t break us out and it moisturises so well. Incredible. If you compare it with tatcha and all this new stuff if would give this 10 out of 5. And tatcha -5 out of ten! Love this stuff. Buy buy buy!!

This might be a nice night cream, but it leaves my face way too shiny for day. My foundation quickly disappeared when I used this.

It gives a good hydration for super dry skin. It does look and feel greasy though. I live in a humid warm country and my skin is a combination type although the t-zone does get dry and flaky sometimes. I only use this when I travel and will be spending most of the time in a hotel and indoors under air conditioned rooms where my skin can get very dry. Other than that I don’t really use it. It’s also expensive here so I’m still on the fence whether I will continue to purchase this.

This seems to be the only thing that helps my skin other than marula oil.
I hate it though because I am trying to buy only cruelty free products, every time I try a new moisturiser it fails to hydrate my skin enough and I resort to buying this just to calm it down enough to try again… the cycle continues as I look for a cruelty free dupe.
Also, I once accidentally bought the Hydrance Optimale Light cream and I had a terrible reaction to it. I thought they would be similar and kept trying to use it putting my dry, inflamed skin down to something else – but I’m convinced it was the light version cream, I can really only use the rich version and apparently nothing else!

Felt super moisturizing when I put it on but it on my face which is sensitive from retin-A, but by the end of the day my face looked greasy, makeup slid off somewhere throughout the day and I had a pimple on my chin…not good for me, so the hunt continues on

French farmacy beauty products are the best! This daycream from avene is my favourite. It is hydrating nourishing and asorbs quickly! And good price

My skin loves this product. It’s a little greasy after application but overnight it has made my parched winter skin supple and plump. My particular problem areas for dry and flaky skin are around my nose, chin and in between my eyebrows which have just lapped this up but even my normal/oily forehead and cheeks are happy. I tried the Kiehls ultra facial cream and it pales in comparison in texture and result. Definitely recommend for winter skin.

Before using that cream my skin was fine but had some redness and acne so I guessed a moisturizer would be something to add to my daily routine.
After applying it it felt soft but a little greasy (but no oil came off of my face with a tissue).
The next day after cleansing my skin felt dry wich never happened before. I applied that product and my skin felt better but always a little greasy like the day before…
The first 2 days of using the cream daily my skin was a lot clearrer (less red) and 2 little pimples dissapeared
The third morning I had 2 new red spots, and the redness was back. I tought they would dissapear like all the redness before, but the 4th day they were pimples…
I think it’s a good moisturizer but I think maybe my skin is better when making it’s own oil…

I’ve been using this in conjunction with the Hydrance Optimal Serum and this has greatly reduced the dryness in my skin. You need very little (when layered over the serum), it absorbs very quickly and does not leave a greasy film behind. The cream feels rich (as the name suggests) but spreads easily and is super hydrating. I am surprised just how quickly I noticed results from using this cream. My skin felt soft and supple all day long. Normally I will see dryness reappear throughout the day however makeup looks as good as it does after initial application many hours later. If wearing this overnight, skin looks plump and fresh upon waking. I really enjoy this cream and will continue to use it, especiallly throughout the winter months and switch to something more lightweight in the summer when it’s hot and humid outside.
