This is a moisturizing and protective, milky white and lightwheight, non greasy cream, containing ginseng, rosemary and hops. The cream is easy to use, melts right in to your face, leaving it fresh and healthy looking and feeling really smooth, soft and hydrated.
The only thing that did bother me a bit, was the scent. This moisturizer has a quite heavy perfume I personally associate with upperclass ladies: classy and rich elderly women. It’s not a bad scent, but it’s not quite youthful and playful or sensual and mysterious either.
Although it’s quite an expensive product, it’s definitely worth every penny!

I’ve been using this as a moisturizer in the day and night for probably over four years now, and it’s perfect for my needs. I love that the consistency of the product is very light, but still feels hydrating to the skin. The fragrance is also fairly light and pleasant. I have normal skin that is not very sensitive, and I have had no problems with irritation whatsoever. The only issue is the price, but it works so well that I’m welling to pay for it.

I’ve been using this “emulsion” on and off for a couple years now and seem to have a love/hate relationship with it. It’s supposed to be a product that balances your skin and is supposed to be followed by a moisturizer. Since I have sensitive combination skin, I only used this as my moisturizer day/night since it was pretty hydrating for my skin. I’ll discuss both the pros and cons related to having used this emulsion and then discuss why I wouldn’t purchase it again.
Pros: Let me start off by saying that the consistency of this emulsion is wonderful. It’s thin, absorbs effectively into the skin, moisturizes without making you look “greasy,” and provides the most beautiful radiance ever. Perhaps what I love even more than the radiance the emulsion provides is that it makes your face feel as soft as a baby’s bum. It’s incredible. And the radiance and softness never fade with continued use; it only gets better. Another thing I love is the packaging – the pump is great, never acts up, and you can get every little bit of the product when you’re close to the end because the entire pump/top twists right off. No cap needed as twisting the pump in one direction locks it completely. I always bought the large bottle for $250, and for the amount of product contained in the bottle (4.2 oz), one bottle easily lasted me approximately 8 months with use every day/night. Oh yeah, and it smells amazing, at least imo.
Cons: I did find that during times when my combination skin was slightly more on the dry side, either due to the weather or my weekly chemical peel, the emulsion definitely did not provide the necessary hydration, and I had to use a more hydrating cream at night to alleviate the dryness. You’d think that as a “balancer,” the emulsion would restore the moisture back to your skin and normalize it during times of dryness, but nope. Another thing I noticed was that though this wouldn’t make me break out per se, I would find little tiny white clogged pores all over my face with continued use, and that is what ultimately made me stop wearing it and switch to a different skincare line altogether, as a few of Sisley’s moisturizers have clogged my pores. This isn’t necessarily Sisley’s fault, as my skin reacts extremely adversely to algae extracts in skincare or beauty products, and Sisley is a plant-based skincare line. I may also have additional sensitivities to plant extracts that I’m just not aware of. I still used this product despite the occasional clogged pores because of the immediate radiance, evenness, and softness that it brought to my face.
I wouldn’t purchase this again because though I’m willing to invest in my skincare, there was a point where I had too many clogged pores from using this and had to just stop to let my skin clear up, which it did. Took a bit. I also ended up switching to an anti-aging skin regimen targeted at prevention of wrinkles/fine lines, sagging skin, dullness, etc. since I’m getting older. This is a great moisturizer for younger people who are beginners to skincare and who don’t have sensitive skin.

This is the best product I’ve EVER tried! I use a lot of Sisley, but this is with any doubt the one if would go with if I could one pick one! It hydrates and penetrates my skin quickly, leaving it balanced, comfortable and radiant. The price is quite high, but for 125 ml. I think the price is overall fair – I have mine for a year, and that’s quite impressive!!!!! Everyone should use this amazing product! Alone or as a base underneath an other moisturiser.

Usually I believe Sisley products to be overpriced.
But this product is a hit to me.
I received some samples and used it for a week now. The difference is really obvious : my skin looks more radiant, well rested, and the redness (which is a problem for me during winter time) is almost gone… after only one week. I am sincerely considering to buy and include to my daily routine.

I purchased this product despite previous horrendous experience with Sisley products. I was curious because this is one of their cult products and probably their most advertised product. So what is this product basically?
This is a moisturizer but also can be a balancer or a pre-moisturizer. Your skin contains water and oil (lipid) and both must have a balanced/proportionate amount. When your skin contains more oil (lipid) than water, it will block moisturizer from being fully absorbed into the skin. When your skin contains more water than oil (lipid), the moment you apply your moisturizer 50% of it will evaporate. So what ecological compound does is it will balance the amount of water and oil in your skin.
For those with normal skin you can apply this as your moisturizer. But for me that have combination skin I layer a moisturizer on top of it. The product itself has a creamy consistency but not as heavy as moisturizer for dry skin. It is fast absorbed into the skin. I take one pump for the whole face as well as neck. I apply it with a gentle round circular massage to make sure the product is fully absorbed as opposed to sit on top of your skin. Please do note however you can’t really see the effect it has on your skin, but for me I feel my skin is better hydrated through out the day and night.

after seeing the coments i did not know if i had madevthe right choice in buying the large bottle of the cream. I have only been using it for a week now both in the morning and at night and i have discovered that it seems a good vitamin type cream for my skin however i like to apply another moisturiser or mask on top of it. It is more like a serum but if you want something lite it is perfect It also seems to be very calming for my skin . I have even put it on my excema on my eyes and so far it has not flared up which is good news indead . I only use high end quality skin care and my skin is always in good condition i just need to watch the oily and sensitive issues . I will keep on using it and see what happens. i think the large bottle is great value and will last for many months . I got it with sisley christmas pack so i got the extra travel size tubes of their other skin care to try and use as well. so this makes it even better value
i have been using Ecological Compound for a month now and i cant imagine not using it now. It has been good for my skin I have had no breakouts or adverse reactions. My skin is looking so balanced I even had one sales lady in the makeup department tell me my skin looks amazing and i dont use their brand and was carring my sisley carrybag with purchase in it. Give Ecological Compound a chance you will not be dissapointed

I love this product. I started using it in june, when summer started. In summer I only use a thin moisturizer as my skin can get really shiny and greasy. This emulsion just gives a nice glow, it isn’t mat but definitely not greasy either. It made my skin look glowier but also improved my skin texture a lot, before a had some small bumps around my chin and cheek area and now it is smooth. But now that winter is coming I think I’m gonna pair it up with my all day all year. Also the bottle (125ml) lasts forever, and I don’t think it’s overpriced. I know the prices are different in Europe, but over here if you compare Sisley to a Dior or Chanel cream, the price will be similar. Love it, would buy it again.

Wow, so sad that not many people have written positive reviews on this product. In my opinion, I am in love with Sisley Compound. I have run out my 50ml bottle so I could say this product does what it claims. I use it mostly in summer and fall. It is a light-weighted moisturizer which does not break my skin out, helps my skin moistured enough in the hot humid climate. Moreover, my skin is getting more radiant day by day. Some people said that there is mineral oil in it so it is not worth the price but I do not think so. Most of Sisley products have not-so-special ingredients but the effect they bring to the skin is so gorgeous. I am sastified with all Sisley products I have (Sisley Compound, Lysait Milk Cleanser, All day All year, Express Flower Mask).
