The moisturizer looks amazing under makeup and gives a SPF protection at the same time too. Sometimes I feel like it’s too heavy on my skin so there have been periods where I have stopped using it but I always come back to it.

Never written a review before for any beauty product because I’ve never been so picky. I mostly have good clear normal skin so Ive never had complaints. But theres something about this moisturizer. I loved it the first time I used it, it feels so soft, it feels so right on the skin. I just repurchased this product on strawberry net, i dont even know if its otherwise available in india. So excited to recieve it. It works for most seasons for me as i dont use very oily creams here in india. And it has a natural woody fragrance, absolutely love!

This is a very average moisturizer especially considering the price. It is quit thick and has a light SPF which is why I think it is suitable for this time of the year, since were I live is usually dark and rainy during the day, I don’t need to wear a separate Sunscreen. It does the job and that’s it, nothing so especial about it, I’ve been wearing it for 3 weeks now. It has a strong citrus fragrance additive, so I don’t think it is really suitable for sensitive skin, I personally don’t wear it on the days that I have put on a clay mask before. All in all there are very similar products for much cheaper price out there, so I won’t be re-purchasing.

I picked this up in an airport doing some pre-flight shopping and what drew me to it initially was the light SPF as had been looking for a moisturiser containing this anyway. I had also heard good things about the ‘Eight Hour’ range from Elizabeth Arden and so I decided to give this a try.
I do like this cream. The size tube I have is a small 50ml which is perfectly sized just to keep in my make-up bag and apply as needed. It is quite a thick cream but absorbs quite well when you give it time. It appears quite shiny at first but does not feel greasy to the touch.
The fragrance of this product is very subtle, a sort of light perfume. Not overpowering at all. Just kind of like a ‘smell’ the way you’d associate that distinctive smell with Nivea cream and the like.
If you’re in the market for a new moisturiser I would definitely recommend this as it has really done it’s duty by me. However I think when I run out I won’t be buying a full size tube for every day use. I’ll be returning to my Ponds Hydra-nourishing cream instead. However next time I am travelling I would consider repurchasing the small 50ml tube again.

First impression : been using this for about 3 days. it feels like a really light cream but it does take time to sink in, so I give it about 30 minutes to sink in before I start doing my makeup. My foundation looks flawless with this cream under, and I have that “glowy” skin finish. One thing I don’t like is that I have to put a bit of pressed powder on my face before I use the blush otherwise my blush looks streaky. Will keep updating once I’ve used it longer.

I got a tube of this in a Christmas Gift pack. I was pleasantly surprised. Now that I am 40, my skin doesn’t respond so well to the Irish cold winters with cold winds.
I found myself lathering this on in the evenings when I would take the dog out walking. The only reason not to use it all day is because I have a BR (Biologique Recherche) cream and tinted Spf moisturiser to use.
The cream is thick- I like this, but it sinks in well. To me it acts as a non greasy moisturising barrier. It would definitely use a serum under this moisturiser – I doubt it has anti-aging or skin correction properties. Its a nice non-irritating skin raincoat.
I do not really like the ‘lemony/medicinal smell’ as someone else has described. But it is affordable and good value in a gift set. The reason I would not buy it again is because I prefer my BR cream.

This is quite a thick consistency but sinks in well. I like this cream for use in winter. I have red sensitive skin and this seems to help it. I have noticed that when my skin is particularly sensitive it does make my eyes water sometimes.

Amazing. Have been using this for years and try to constantly find a cheaper replacement but none can compare! The smell is so fresh & natural (green tee I think) and goes on like a dream. I have combination skin and find this just sinks in without any grease. Perfect base for make up or on its own. Love, love, love it

This is my current favourite right now and it’s products like these that make me wonder why I don’t have more Elizabeth Arden products (other than my beloved 8 hour cream of course!).
This product just feels so nice on the skin. It seems thick when you squeeze it out (yay for hygienic tube packaging!) but it spreads evenly on the skin and makes it oh so soft and ready for foundation. While it doesn’t control my oil, it doesn’t really matter because it doesn’t claim to and neither does any moisteriser that I have ever tried. That being said though, I am using this right now in Spring and I imagine it would be good for all year around! (It also has SPF 15 which is a plus)
I also quite enjoy the lemony herbal smell which is surprisingly pleasant but fades upon application.
For reference, I have oily, acne prone and sensitive skin (I sound so blessed don’t I? 😉 )

I ADORE this product. I am a skin care junkie and I constantly try new products (I would buy 20 new products on average a month in the medium to high price bracket) even when I’m not dissatisfied with my current product. Saying that this is the one product I will buy consistently. I’ve used it for years and it ticks all the right boxes.
It is thick and luxurious with a pleasant smell and is long lasting.
From the sounds of it the people that wrote negative reviews about this product might have been using the 8 hour cream and not the 8 hour moisturising cream (as the 8 hour cream is not a facial moisturiser and would be almost impossible to spread on your face but would be perfect as a lip balm-sorry if I’m wrong!)
I would highly recommend this product-it’s my favourite item in my cosmetics cupboard!
