I am consistently unimpressed by Kiehls. This creme is another example. As with the previous reviews, this creme feels luxurious at first but never really gets to hydrating the deep layers. It just sort of sits on the skin and feels too slippy. Not to mention it gave me a couple breakouts, the yucky under-the-surface kind. I was also disappointed to learn one of the first ingredients in this creme is isopropyl palmitate (a known comedogenic) as well as methyl and propyl parabens. Lame. Kiehls masquerades as a fancy schmancy, botanical/natural line but their stuff is really just some oils with chemicals thrown in. Good thing I kept the receipt for this one!

This is my HG facial cream. Mind you, I have extremely dry skin and this seems to repair it everyday because I’ve noticed a huge a difference in the condition of my skin. I use this in the morning mixed in with the Eucerin sunblock for the face, and then a little more heavier at night. The cream does give an oily look on my face so I have to let it sink it before I apply makeup (in the daytime). Overall, great cream for very dry skin. The price is however, PRICY, but will def. repurchase this product in the biggest size. Works great for me even in the summer time.I would def. not recommend this for those with oily skin.

Lately I have been trying many creams and oils out in search for hydration and that *glow*. I was attracted to this because two of the main ingredients are squalane oil and sesame seed oil (this is used in Creme de la Mer). The texture is similar to butter and the smell doesn’t really bother me. That said, it didn’t really do anything for my dry skin: I woke up the next morning and there was nothing difference in the texure or even the hydration of my skin. I’ve used it for a few weeks, and it hasn’t done anything. Onto the next one!
