I love this cream. I find it’s more of a jellyish balm than a cream, thought. I use it in the winter, when the cold weather, dry air and central heating can turn a person’s skin to jerky. I use this as the final step for layering over my serums at night, and it does a fabulous job of locking in moisture. When it’s really cold and starts to hit the -30°C/-22°F outside, I use it in the daytime too and it’s been a real skin-saver. This is quite fragranced, so sensitive folks beware. I’ve repurchased several times and will continue to do so for as long as Biotherm continues to make it.

I didn’t want to like this product as I’m very prejudiced against the owner of this brand (no. 1 in the world, The L’Orèral group, mostly marketing fads and usually only one ‘wonder’ inredient in all of their labels/products). But when my skin got very dry last winter i gave it a shot and must admit I liked it. Buying it for introduction price I thought it wouldn’t be to much of a loss if i had to give it away.
Still having about one third of the cream-in-oil left it’s value for the money, the scent is citrusy orangy and fresh. As I have started layering this goes on as the last one in the evening and it melts nicely into my skin as I only need to use about half a pea size even thougt it takes a couple of minutes soaking fully in.
The tactile skin feel is slightly sticky but does not smear onto my pillow. The biggest pro is my skin felt very soft and plumped in the morning. Not using it every night but more as a treatment when my skin is dry a few nights in a row or a couple of times at night weekly in the winter it keep my skin hydrated and soft. When very cold outside (minus 3 – 5 degrees celcius or more) it locks in the watery products layered beneath and occludes the skin without feeling stiff outdoor or melting going indoor.
The oil-in-cream does’t do anything for my skin in the long term, but rather works like a mask with temporary results.
Would I repurchase? No it’s to mediocre for it’s price and I have similar products doing a far better job containing a wider range of active ingredients in one product with multiple effects.
So all in all my prejudices against L’Orèal products is justfied. All marketing and not comparable with other large skin care groups (never tried any makeup from this group though).
