When I use this cream, friends literally tell me my skin looks great. I’ve never had unsolicited feedback like that about any face product but this one. The only negative for me is the steep price.

First, the cons:
Only one, and that’s the price. It is ridiculous. When I saw the price online, I thought it was a typo.
Now, the pros:
This is AMAZING, the most amazing moisturizer I’ve ever tried. La Mer can’t hold a candle to this stuff. It moisturized my dehydrated 53-year-old/hypothyroid skin like nothing ever has. In the morning, I wake up with really supple skin. Also, normally, moisturizers make my face break out unless if I use them very, very sparingly only on my outer cheeks. With this stuff, I can use it ALL OVER my face, and use lots of it, too, and I have not had a single break out or bump or anything.
The MA at Nordstrom gave me a really nice sample of this. I don’t think I’ll buy this very often or at all on account of the price, but if I had money, I would definitely buy this over and over and over again. I really wish I didn’t like it so much. I’m heartsick over the price.

For the past few months, I have been using samples of this cream. My skin type is combination with rosacea, large pores, and slight surface dryness during the winter months. Every night I use this cream, I wake up with soft, younger looking skin. My pores look reduced, and my complexion has a radiance I have not seen since my mid-30s. I have finally splurged on this wonderful product. It is getting only 4 stars because of its exhorbitant price. Yet Chantecaille uses the best ingredients, so I would expect them to charge higher for this product. Also, I wish the product came with a spatula or in a pump so that it would stay hygenic.

Man I really prayed that I would hate this cream so that I would not be obliged to shell out £240 for the sake of my face! The SA at Space NK gave me generous samples of Biodynamic Lifting Cream so that I could try it along with Vital Essence. I did not try the samples for weeks because I was so sure the cream would break out my combination skin and turn me into an oil slick, blah blah. Nope. Perfect. My skin feels and looks like baby bottom. It has perfect tone and feels like silk. Such that today the girl at my local Costa Coffee which I frequent commented that my face glowed and asked me what I did to it. OK, that does it. I’m going out tomorrow to get the blasted jar and eat out less for 3 months or so.

I have combination skin and tend to break out when trying new products. I’ve used this cream every night for the last 6 months (surviving on GWP samples!) and I have to say I am dreading the day when I have to shell out $$$ for a jar. It is just so expensive! However, aside from the price it’s my perfect night/cold-weather cream. My skin always looks better in the morning, and I’ve had 1 breakout in the last 6 months (3 1/2 months of which I’ve had absolutley no sleep). My skin tone is a lot more even, and the beginning very fine lines are nowhere to be seen. This moisturizer has pretty much ruined me for all others. I am very happy with it. I am rationalizing the cost by thinking I haven’t had to visit the dermatologist or have any facial treatments since I started using this. It’s also simplified my skincare regimen by a lot (just Fresh Cleanser followed by eye cream and moisturizer) so in the end I guess it saves me $$$

I got a sample of this and mixed it with my regular eye cream – because it’s so expensive. What I didn’t realize after a month of using it was, this was making my eye twitch. The hexapeptides affect the neurological impulses and although some people may be all right with that, it affected me dramatically. Not to be an alarmist, but they don’t know what the long term effects are, so I personally am staying away from these types of products. I also found out I’m allergic to shea butter, and using just this tiny amount around my eyes, created eczema in my hands, which I had never had before. It’s a very hydrating cream, but not right for me.

I waited to write my review as I wanted to use up the whole jar and then reflect on the results. Well, since I’m now using the same product but in the oil-free forumula, I guess that means I must have really like it. Seriously, it is a product that, if you have lines, if you have signs of skin starting to sag (esp. aroung the sides of your mouth and jar), and need hydration, you will SEE a change in your skin and you will LOVE the results. Unless you have money to burn or want to keep your skin firm and PREVENT it from sagging, this cream is for us “older” chicks. I DID see a difference, but unless you have something to “see”, you’re going to probably think you’ve wasted your money. That’s the Catch-22 with a product like this.
So, hydrates my dry skin, lifts, firms and erases the fine lines I was starting to see. Worth every penny. Oh and it did not bother my sensitive skin. Once summer is over, I’ll go back to it.

This floral-smelling cream is an excellent moisturiser. However, for the price, I would expect it to live up to its claims of smoothing, relaxing, lifting and plumping the skin, none of which I have seen. The ingredients list is definitely impressive but the results on my face say that it’s nothing more than a moisturiser.

I’ve used the Lifting Cream night and day for many months. As far as “lifting” I haven’t seen any evidence of that but it IS the best moisturizer I’ve ever tried. It even eliminated a couple of very small, dry spots I’d been fighting and the tiny lines between my eyes and cheekbones are less noticeable. I think the price is ridiculous but I’ll keep using it until I find something better.

This is a pretty good as it does tighten, lift and define your facial contours as it promises. The texture is a bit thick but not too bad and the smell is quite pleasant. The only thing that I do not like about this cream is that it does block my pores very badly. The first month it works wonderfully. However, after the third/fourth week or so I noticed my pores (around the T-zone) got blocked quite badly, and after that it is so bad that I had to stop it. I am now only using what is left on my neck and decollete. I am not re-purchasing it simply because above reason. Otherwise, it is not a bad cream for the price.
