This is awesome. I’m so grateful to the reviewers here and elsewhere for bringing it to my attention.
I have very dry skin that easily reacts to many products, oils, and butters with acne. So I’m often afraid to try a new product.
This hasn’t clogged up my pores or caused acne at all. It cleared up a small dry patch of skin I’ve had for weeks from eczema. It leaves skin very smooth and soft, almost like after a mild enzymatic peel, but very soothed and looks radiant. If I don’t use too much it all soaks in. I actually follow with my moisturiser which gives me much better results as the combination somehow moisturises deeply.
Mine applies easily, I just run it along the skin, and it smells like banana cake.
I use it on my hands occasionally too.
It has not melted in my bathroom cabinet, but my bathroom is cold, I’ll definitely store it in the fridge in warmer weather.
The price puts me off a little, LUSH has some crazy prices lately. Products don’t usually last “forever” with me because the pea sized amount claims are just not realistic for me. Depending on how long this lasts me, I might buy regularly, otherwise, It’ll probably be an occasional treat.
If you’d rather something less expensive, sesame oil gives very similar results, especially combined with essential oils.
I really recommend this for dry and acne prone skin.
Eta after a month, I still love it, but I’m almost out of it already. So that makes it a bit too pricey for a regular purchase, but I’ll probably buy it again sometime in the future.

I am a huge fan of facial oil, and a sucker for anything that is scented like banana, so I knew I had to try Banana Skin as soon as I saw it in store. I prefer to use a small amount underneath my facial moisturiser both day and night. It keeps my skin extra hydrated and super soft, and gives me a healthy glow. I simply swipe the bar onto my face (cheeks and forehead) then massage in the oil over my face. This bar melts extremely easily, so I recommend storing it in the fridge. A little goes a long way, so even though the bar looks small, it will definitely last you a very long time – making it great value for money. I highly recommend this product to anyone looking for something to keep their skin soft and nourished.

I have always gone to LUSH for the bath bombs and bubble bars. Then I branched out into the soaps and shower gels. Then the solid shampoos. And most recently Angels On Bare Skin. When I went into LUSH last week to buy my usual stuff, the sales associate told me about Banana Skin. From the moment she rubbed some of this solid oil onto my hand, I was sold. She sent me home with a chunk that I have been using all week. I will never buy another brand of facial oil again! This solid chunk glides effortlessly on skin. I was told to rub it into my hands first and then on my face, but I find I use less when I rub it on my face directly. It smells heavenly – like bananas and cake. Even the tiniest amount makes my skin feel smooth and moisturized, and in the morning I look positively glowing! I have drier skin in part because I use retinoids, and I am also acne prone. This has not broken me out whatsoever.
