Was looking for a new curler having used Shu for years and decided to try this based on good reviews. I don’t like it. Feels flimsy and pulled out a lot of eyelashes, which never happened with my Shu curler. Complete waste of money.

This eyelash curler is the only eyelash curler that has worked well for my almond, asian, semi-hooded eyes. My eyelashes are super straight and this eyelash curler gives them a nice natural looking curl.

Hate it! I’ve used mostly Shu and Shi curlers for years and they worked well. Tried Tweezerman and KA and hated those (KA was good but pinched). I really just needed a new pad but decided, based on the great reviews, to give this one a go. Uh, no. Right out of the box the mechanism was sticky and it doesn’t press smoothly at all. And it pinches. And my lashes don’t hold the curl even with a heater on the dryer first to warm it up. Just a big, huge waste of money for me. It’s going into the trash.

I owned the Shiseido curler for many years. I loved that curler. None of those Western brand curlers worked for me. For some reason, I just wanted to try a new curler since I’m so fickle, and decided to get this one. It works just as well, if not better than my Shiseido. It does depend on your eye shape though, so you should try out a few different curlers for yourself. The big selling point for this curler is that they send you free pad replacements, so the only investment you make in keeping this curler is the initial price, which I believe is around $18. Thus, it will pay for itself fairly quickly! I’ve been using this instead of my Shiseido for about 2 years now. I would repurchase it if lost it over other brands.

Like Kupo_Baby, I purchased this from Amazon. (Perfect condition and very fast and reasonable shipping.). I also think that the curler, especially when clamped on my lashes, doesn’t feel sturdy. I am willing to put that feeling aside because of the results. My lashes stay curled all day, the curve fits my eye perfectly..no pinching my lids or pulling my lashes. This also curls my long, thin lashes in a way that my mascara applies better. I know that sounds odd, but I seem to be getting less mascara all over my lid behind my lashes. I think it is the angle of the curl. I sent an email to Japonesque for replacements, and keep them in the box. (I wasn’t sure how long the ‘free’ replacement pads would take to arrive and I wanted to test it.). It was easy and I received an envelope with 2 pads within a week. It may not be pretty or cute, but the results will keep me loyal.

I bought this for $16 on Amazon. This is only my second eyelash curler so I can’t compare it to much other than the old MAC eyelash curler. But I still think this is much better than the MAC. It gives a sharper curl that, surprisingly, lasts all day.
The only problem is that the curler itself feels a little cheap.

Didn’t really think that getting another curler would make much of a difference, but after all the reviews I saw, I went and got it. Boy, was I wrong, this curler is great! Not only do you get a lifetime of free refills for the product from the Company (even to Australia), but it works so well. I didn’t have to put much effort at all, just one go and it stayed up the whole day! So glad I got this. Would definitely recommend this!

Loving this curler! I normally use the epic Shu curler but when I read reviews that this one was on par with that one, I decided to try it and it has become one of my favorite beauty tools. It is the only curler I’ve found that easily grips the very base of the lash which makes my lashes look much longer than any other curler so I use this one for a more dramatic curl while I use the Shu for a looser more natural curl.

I have always purchased drug store brands curlers. The problem always lies with the curling of the lashes that are at the inner corner of the eyes. With this curler (the curvature fits the shape of my eyes) , I m able to pick up the lashes on both corners. At the same time, the company mailed me the curler rubber pads (lifetime refill) after I wrote in to request for them. Excellent service!

I have always used drugstore eyelash curlers. This Japonesque curler was on sale at Ulta, so I thought I’d give it a go. Turns out, I love it! Gives nice curl without pinching.
