This is cheaper priced alternative to Clarisonic. It’s a sonic brush that costs $49.95AU full price. I purchased mine at Chemist Warehouse on special for $35. Replacement brush heads are sold in a two pack for under $10.
I haven’t used Clarisonic so I can’t compare it. Manicare Sonic is sold with the sensitive brush head, but there is also one for exfoliating and one for facial massage. The sensitive brush head is supposed to be gentle enough for everyday use. It certainly feels gentle, but I went overboard and used it for a little too long the third time and ended up with skin that was red and blotchy for a couple of hours. This certainly makes skin clean and it’s astonishing how dirty the brush head becomes. It has made my pores look smaller and my skin look brighter and more even toned. At present I am only using it in the evening and have been using it for about a week. It certainly made my skin purge a little.
If you have sensitive skin, let the brush do the work and don’t press hard. You only need to glide over the skin. It takes a minute to do your whole face, and you really don’t need to use it for longer than that. One charge is supposed to last 5 hours, and as you only use it for one minute at a time, this means one charge can last for weeks or longer.
It’s easy to use, moderately priced and does a really good job. I’m sold.
