I know a lot of women love their adorable pink egg-shaped Beauty Blender sponges and that method of applying liquid foundation is great. I’m not going to suggest that you switch to these if you are a die-hard Beauty Blender gal. However, if you’ve been using those awful flimsy little wedges, or your fingers, I think these sponges are preferable. They are great for applying liquid foundation smoothly. Even if I use a foundation brush, I usually finish my blending with one of these.
PROS:
1. Sturdy enough that they are good for several uses and washings. They don’t fall apart as easily as those little wedges.
2. Latex-free.
3. Vegan (Paula’s Choice is Leaping Bunny certified.)
4. I always get a smooth finish when I use these. I’ve been buying these sponges for at least ten years. You can stipple with these; they just happen to be flat.
5. Relatively economical. $8 for 10 circular sponges and one package lasts me a few months if I’m just using them at home on myself. I haven’t splurged on the Beauty Blender because one sponge is $20 and I’m used to these.
6. By the way, the Beauty Blender cleansers (both solid and liquid) are great at lifting makeup from these sponges as well.
7. The Paula’s Choice sponges aren’t as porous as many other disposable sponges that seem to waste foundation.
8. Comfortable and flexible, soft to use.
9. Because they are flat, they fit into most mesh makeup bags and kits, even small ones.
10. I use many Paula’s Choice skin care products, and sometimes that $8 sponge packet bumps me into a tier of free shipping or some other discount. I like to remember this at checkout.
CONS:
None, unless you don’t happen to like the flat, round shape or you’re already attached to another type of tool. In the world of makeup, personal preference varies quite a bit. Once you’re satisfied with a particular product, there’s a tendency to stick with it. I’ve been buying these for over a decade. I loved having these in my kit when I was doing professional makeup.

These stink. Even after washing them. I can’t use them because of that. I threw them out.

I love these sponges, l have tried other sponges which breakup and tear after a weeks use. I only use my sponges for a month before l replace them, so am happy with them.

Retails for $4.95 USD for a pack of ten round sponges.
These sponges are excellent for applying my pressed powder when I don’t want to use a brush. They pick up powder easily and much more evenly than all other sponges and powder puffs I’ve tried. The PC sponges are so soft and they glide on my face comfortably. I can get a nice and even finish with these.
