11 year old is screaming for a Beauty Blender so I got her this “knock off” to keep her happy. So far she’s fine with it.

The Bella Beauty makeup sponge has seriously changed my makeup game. I have always used brushes to apply foundation and bronzers and noticed that my skin always looked dry and the makeup looked caked on. Since using this sponge my makeup looks much more natural and hydrated. I use this sponge to apply so many different types of makeup products: primers, bb creams, foundation, blush, highlighters, bronzers, the list goes on. I completely wet the sponge, rinse it out and its ready for use. I always make sure to clean after each use with warm water and a gentle soap and/or cleanser.

This is exactly what the Real Techniques sponge felt like before the company changed the material and turned it into a harder sponge.
These Bella Beauty sponges are SOFT as a cloud, when dampened they enlarge to twice their size, it’s like mega soft memory foam for your face; applies foundation nicely and the price is only $3.99 each. The only downside is that they are so soft they can rip easily if handled harshly.
I would say this is not a dupe, it is a BETTER THAN DUPE sponge. I will buy one every time I can find them at Marshalls or TJ Maxx.
Note: I bought 2 of them: The one shown in the picture that comes in a white and pink cardboard box, and a tear drop shaped one, that comes in a clear plastic box. Both of them are the same quality and none of the boxes have a print talking about cancer causing chemicals like it is written in a previous review. If anything, they’re latex free and hypoallergenic. I’m surprised with all the negative reviews.

I have the original beauty blender an I absolutely love it. I’ve heard that some of the sponges at tjmaxx and Marshall’s are dupes for the beauty blender and wanted to see if any of them were as good. I tried out this one, and it’s just okay. The beauty blender is so much softer, and I like it way better. If you have never tried the beauty blender, you may like this, but I’m still going to use the original beauty blender. Nothing beats it!

I don’t know what is wrong with my skin or this product. I am not allergic to anything. I have never had problems with any other makeup or skincare products before. But after 3 days of using this sponge. It was like my skin was peeling, splotchy, red.Almost like a rash or sunburn. I’ll try it for a short while longer to make sure it was the sponge and then toss it.

This does well for its price. I use it almost everyday and it leaves my foundation streak free. I find it easier and better to use when damp.

I wanted to try this out because I didn’t want to spend $20 on the beauty blender, and for $3.99 you can’t go wrong! I tried it out this morning and I fell in love! I’ve never used a beauty blender so I can’t compare, but this little thing applied my foundation better than my HG stippling brush! I used the same amount of foundation I usually do, which was great as sponges tend to absorb sooooo much foundation 🙁 I highly recommend you give it a try. After all it’s only $3.99 at Marshall’s 😉

Just like many of you, I was over the moon when I found this at Marshall’s. The price was jaw dropping, $3.99!!! I was a little skeptical having heard that the Original Beauty Blender was the one and only sponge to get and there are no dupes that compare. Well having tried it for the first time wet, I was amazed at how my foundation (Revlon Colorstay oily/combo) set. Even with all the powder I put on afterwards, my crappy, complexion looked pretty damn good! I could just imagine what the $25 Original Beauty B. can do which makes me want it more and makes me think it just might be worth it. Only con and to me this is a big one also why I gave it just one star: It does not hold up well to the pressure of my fingers holding it when I dab this. I only had this for 2 days and there are tiny splits/cuts in it that eventually will get larger, I don’t think this blender is too firm, it is very foamy and plushy? so You have to have a steady grip on it in order for you to get it to transfer make up on your skin. I don’t think this one is a great ” Dupe” … I’m sure there has to be a better one out there. Close but no cigar.

I go this and two other beauty blender dupes at Marshalls and I love all of them. I have always wanted to try the beauty blender, but could not think of spending 20 dollars on a sponge! I got three really good dupes for just under $18 dollars. I got the bella cosmetics one which is in pick and is so soft and yet firm enough to bounce your foundation on. I have really dry skin and this new way of applying foundation gives me a flawless smooth look. Look wise it does not look like the beauty blender because it has a curve that allows you to hold the sponge. The other two I got were more of the tear drop shape of the beauty blender. The revive beauty sponge is the same as the belle and they are made by the same company. It does say on the package of both the revive and bella beauty sponges that “WARNING: This product and/or its packaging contain a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, birth defects, and/or reproductive harm.” but practically everything can “cause” cancer and maybe it’s just the box that contains this. But if you re worried about this I would just get the beauty sponge from Cynthia Rowley since it does not mention it on the box and its just as good maybe slightly better than the bella beauty or revive one and it is shaped exactly like the beauty blender. I got the revive and bell beauty sponge for 4.99 and the Cynthia Rowley one was 5.99.
EDIT: After about five uses it be acme too soft. It was like using a soggy marshmallow. I didn’t realize when I got mine it had a small rip on it and maybe it absorbed too much water, but it became unusable. If you want an actual dupe get the teardrop shaped Cynthia Rolwey sponge it is on par with my Beauty Blender in terms of shape, squishyness, and the finish for under 6 dollars.

I bought this at a Winners for the very reasonable price of 5. 99. I prefer to use this sponge wet, because it gets much bigger, less rubbery, and gives a less cakey foundation application. I would much rather use this than my foundation brush because it looks much more natural and I hardly look like I’m wearing foundation. Great, inexpensive alternative to the beauty blender!
