I can see this lasting a very long time. Used a foundation brush (the flat kind), and only need a tiny amount. Felt the smallest tingling sensation and one hour later it’s fully absorbed so no product will stick to the pillow. Didn’t even bother to wipe a part off, plan on going to let the whole thing get soaked up! Loving it. It’s totally different to sheet masks but so much more eco friendly. Also love the ultra facial line!

Now that winter is truly here I’ve been on the hunt for a decent sleeping mask to hydrate and get my skin back to normal. I can’t use anything too rich in the daytime as that means foundation will end up oxidizing as my skin can get quite oily. Kiehl’s are quite good with giving samples so whilst stocking up on their deodorant recently, I asked if I could try this. Unfortunately I just can’t get past the consistency – it’s very thick, almost like petroleum jelly and just sits on the surface of my skin. I’m used to sleeping on my side but once this is on I just dare not as it will end up all over my pillowcase. Have also tried using a really tiny amount but awoke to dry patches/flakiness which means it wasn’t enough, yet any more is too much. Can’t seem to find a middle ground with this one!
Ingredients-wise there isn’t a great deal in here, it’s simple stuff – good for those who have skin sensitivities and have to avoid many ingredients but not for those who are looking for a state of the art formulation, which this definitely isn’t!
Definitely more suited to drier or very dehydrated skin types. The search continues…

I have dry, fair skin and in the winter it gets extremely dry. I love this product, I have tried so many hydrating solutions but after using this, the next morning my skin looks radiant – and as though I’ve already got tinted moisturiser on. Personally I love this product, it is a little odd to get used to the goop, but I use a very small amount and it’s not too bad once you get used to it. I have sensitive skin and get eczema in places but this never causes an issue with my skin.

What deliciousness is this? After sleeping in it for the first time last night I showered and towelled dry this morning and the dry skin just rolled off my face as I gently towelled off.
I use Cle de Peau Radiant liquid foundation because it covers well but is on the light side of medium coverage. But my skin wasn’t radiant underneath. It was dull and I thought the foundation was maybe too matte for me and didn’t live up to its name. But after using this moisturizing masque my skin is glowing and that glow is showing through the foundation and looks great.
It may be a little sticky, it felt a bit like Vaseline at first, but it dried down. This is the miracle product I was looking for. It did a terrific job of improving the glow of my sensitive, combo, dehydrated, acne prone skin.

I had been pretty happy with my simplistic routine of wash + Clinique moisturizing gel, but lately my oily skin has been craving more moisture. I bought this on a friend’s recommendation and hated it right away. Too sticky! Yuck. I almost gifted it to my friend but he urged me to stick with it and use a veeeeery small amount. Now I’m super glad I stuck with it. Once I got over the stickiness it only took a day or two to see results: supple, smooth skin. My makeup goes on super smooth in the morning, and now I sort of look forward to the sticky goo at night, because I know after I wash it off in the morning, I’ll get awesome skin. Highly recommended, especially for flights!!!

If you are after more hydration, the Ultra Cream for more dehydrated skin (in frosted jar) or the ultra balm is much better than this. This feels like glue in every way, its tacky and doesn’t absorb. It seals in moisture but doesn’t give anything in return. Its far too occlusive and feels like a first generation of a product. I have a ton of Korean sleeping masks and they are all much better than this. A sleeping mask should be highly absorbent and velvet in texture, basically you should be able to slap on make up and leave the house. You cannot if you put glue on your face, think that thick clear craft glue that you squeeze out of a nozzle in art and craft in primary school. Try the ultra balm instead (but use it under moisturiser), i find that to be excellent. This brand is generous with their samples so ask for 3 or 4 so you can try for a fortnight.

I tried a sample of this when I was flying to Europe for work and found this to be a very nice mask for a long flight. I have very dry skin and I find it to be soothing and hydrating. I am curious to try Glossier’s Moisturizing Moons Mask next to see if it’s any better. I think the plus of this one is that it is effective and it’s great for flights because it goes on clear so you don’t look completely crazy with a mask on-ha! I like to use this mask as a follow-up to a more intense mask like Aztec Secret Indian Healing Clay mask. That combo packs such an awesome wallop for skincare!

Not sure why this is called a mask, a bit of misnomer. Just a heavy moisturizer, night cream. A bit greasy, as a night cream should be IMHO. I liked it, my skin liked it. But not enough to repurchase.

Feels sooooooooo hydrating and feels really nice on the skin I feel like it’s drinking it up

Isn’t it amazing that an over-the-counter beauty product such as a hydrating mask can cause one sleepless night? I thought so too. But, Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Overnight Hydrating Masque does that to me all the time without exceptions.
