I kept seeing this product pop up in my newsfeed, youtube videos, review sites etc. and decided to give it a go after I came across a good discount for it. That was over 2 years ago and I’ve never been without it ever since.
I use it once a week usually on a Sunday night as a pamper. My skin feels and looks beautiful every single time. It brightens, tightens and is just generally a pleasure to use.
It is slightly stingy upon initial application but that dissipates after about a minute or so. I leave it on for about 15 minutes before rinsing off and then follow up with my usual moisturizing routine. As this dries, I don’t find it to be anywhere near as uncomfortable as other clay masks I have used where I couldn’t wait to wash it off. This is much more gentle.
I’m always careful to ensure that I put the little white ‘cap?’ and lid back on very tight after use because my first jar dried out after not paying close attention.
Great product – hope it is never changed or discontinued!

I got sucked into all the positive reviews and a friend who really liked this mask. I did enjoy it but I’m not sure it works any better than the bentonite clay which is a huge tub (very inexpensive) and doesn’t dry out like this product. Probably will not repurchase but seems just average to me.

I only just bought this product a few days ago. I was constantly hearing good vs bad comments from here there and everywhere so I thought I’d buy it for myself to test it out. Just as a side note, I love the idea of it coming with a brush! It saves heaps of product and allows you to apply it more gently and not leave unfinished patches or marks on the face. An excellent idea for masks in future. This mask felt pretty standard within application, no tingling for me but I only applied a very thin layer. I applied not long after getting up in the morning (I couldn’t wait all day to try it!). I was surprised that it was to be applied to a dry face, considering most masks seem to be applied wet or immediately after washing. Either way, when washing off, I was still surprised after how thin a layer I applied how soft my face was, (of course this may change in the future and in that case I’ll edit my review, but for now I’m quite happy with the results, but still surprised at the price tag attached for the mask). Aside from the very soft face it left afterwards didn’t stand out much for me more than a standard clay mask. It’s a good mask, but not 70 Australian dollars of good I’ll say. It is a bit too pricey for the overall results. But if you have some spare cash to spend, it’s worth trying out, even if it’s just once. *Update 2020* I have really warmed up to this, while I still don’t quite agree with the price based on size, it works really well to minimise pores and soften skin overall.

I received this face clay as a Christmas present. What an amazing present it turned out to be (thanks sis in law!) there is an initial tingly feeling when u first spread it on your face but after a few seconds the feeling disappears. After leaving it on for 10 minutes as Instructed, I washed it off and really my face was so much more brighter and the tone had really evened out. The effects last for a few days and I have to say I was left feeling very impressed with this product.
I was using Sukin clay masks before which worked well for me but sand and sky along with its brush, helps with application. You don’t need to use too much so a little goes a long way. I would definitely purchase once this runs out.

Goodness – how has this not been reviewed on MUA yet? Background: this Australian mask sold 50,000 units upon launch. Pretty good going for a previously unknown brand! It tightens pores, supercharges your glow, detoxifies and brightens instantly, as stated on the packaging. Upon reading this and about its success, especially in other parts of the world I just absolutely had to give this a try.
Firstly, the ingredients: plenty of good, natural stuff in here (licorice, pomegranate, witch hazel, Lactic Acid, Vitamin A etc) and of course…Australian pink clay. Needless to say I was sold on the ingredients list alone! I ordered this online and it arrived in approximately 7 days. I used this 2 times per week on cleansed/dried skin, leaving on for 10 minutes and then washing off with the help of a washcloth and tepid water. You can also use as a spot treatment, I just dab a tiny amount on any pimple before going to bed and by the morning there’s a huge difference and reduction in its size.
The result: A definite boost to my complexion and also noticeable reduction in pore size. I think the biggest thing I noticed was how much fresher my skin looked. For those with oily, acne-prone or combination to normal skin, this mask is a god-send. You can also use on dry skin, according to the Sand & Sky website, so in other words ALL skin types.
If you thought Sisley’s Radiant Glow Express mask with red clay (which I have also used) was good then prepare for your socks to be blow off with this one! This is like taking Sisley’s as a base and then adding a ton of potent and beneficial ingredients to the mix to elevate it to something else all together. Highly recommended!
Note: There are people selling hand-filled samples of this on e-bay, not all of which might be genuine, judging from their feedback. As it’s pretty simple to just add pink clay powder to water and pass that off as this mask, what you need to be looking out for is the fragrance to distinguish it as the real deal. It should smell a bit like Plum kernel oil blended with a heavy dose of perfume. This has quite a strong fragrance. For those who haven’t smelt plum kernel oil, it is slightly like Marzipan, that’s the nearest thing I can think of.
P.s This is the same thing as the ‘Australian Pink Clay Porefining Mask’ – same product, updated name and packaging.
