wow I am surprised by all these negative reviews. out of the various Glamglow masks I’ve tried this one is my favorite. I bought the full size after trying a sample size. I like the tingling sensation it causes – there is a slight burning sensation but it doesn’t hurt or bother me much. This one isn’t nearly as drying as the super mud, and I really like the mild exfoliating sensation when you wash it off (and the mud becomes like an oil texture). My face is soft and bright after using this, and I usually follow up with a moisturizing/nourishing type mask (which for the moment is the Filgora meso mask). This routine has worked for me – I use this cleaning mask twice a week during the summer months, sometimes I also add an additional acid treatment on alternate days when I am feeling especially oily (dr. wu’s mendelic acid). Mine is running out now (after perhaps 2-3 months?) and I plan to replenish during the buy-one-get-one-free sale in November.

i picked up a sample tube of this, and am so glad I didn’t waste money on the full size.
I thought the ingredient list was decent: a foundation of Kaolin & Bentonite followed by mostly good-for-your-skin vitamins and oils.
However, there is absolutely nothing about this mask that justifies it’s high price tag.
It’s very liquid-y for a mask, which makes it difficult to spread evenly… I had to keep slathering on more product.
It dries comfortably, and leaves a thin coating of clay. What it doesn’t seem to do is absorb much oil. This is probably due to it’s thin texture, but there were no visible dots of oil indicating it was absorbing anything.
Lastly, there was feeling that this morphed into an oil once massaged in with water.
It has the texture of many other creamy cleansers with granules for mechanical exfoliation.
Like many have said, you can find other masks that are more effective for much less money.
Enlite’s masks Clay Time and Glow For It (exclusive at CVS) were fantastic, much better than Powermud, but sadly have been discontinued. 🙁
Loreal’s Pure-Clay Detox & Brighten with Charcoal is a great alternative.
In any case, no need to shell out your hard earned money on Powermud, ladies.

This mask doesn’t really have any redeeming qualities for me. It’s awkward in texture and consistency so it doesn’t go on smooth, it didn’t do anything for my skin, it burned and not in a way that felt like anything good was happening and the jar is heavy with a small amount of product. Definitely wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

This mask is a joke. I only got the travel size, and thank God, because it is a waste of shelf space, and a waste of money.
First of all, the texture is awkward. It’s more gooey than average and not well spreadable, which means you have to use a lot of it – as if the price weren’t enough, this way you’re wasting your money double. Then, once applied, it starts to tingle a lot. I do not have sensitive skin, and I can take a bit of tingling, but this one was uncomfortable. Not to the point where I’d wash it off, though, because I wanted to see the results.
There weren’t any. Pores didn’t look smaller. Blemishes didn’t get any flatter.
The smell of it was strong, too. It’s not a scent I’d personally dislike, kind of like candy, but I can’t help but think that such a strongly smelling mask can’t have many good benefits for the skin. The perfume won’t help it in any way.

It’s okay. Picked up a mini pot whilst at sephora. First application it burnt the hell out of my face, and I don’t usually have very sensitive skin.
It has a crisp apple smell to an extent. A little weird. A little hard to remove also, especially from sides of nose etc.
Overall, it was a decent mask but not one that cleared my skin at all or made a massive improvement. I’m still sporting a large pimple on my jawline that has stayed resilisant throughout using this mask so with that, it is not worth the money.

This mask has a very unpleasant scent, first time I used it I almost thought that I would trow up because of the scent. I liked that it was mud, but other than that I didn’t like this product at all. Not worth the price and other Glamglow products have been a disappointment too.

Mild tingle compared to the other Glamglow masks I have purchased (I own them all) and has a nice scent to it. I have acne prone skin so I wasn’t surprised when I purged after using it for the first time. It was able to bring some cysts I had trapped under my skin to the surface and have been trying to get rid of for months. Price is steep but a little goes a long way with the products – I find all Glamglow masks last at least 6 months if not longer.

I got a deluxe sample of this from Sephora. I wanted to test it out before purchasing because it’s expensive. I love it. I apply the mask and then let it set for 20 minutes. I can feel it tighten up my face but it didn’t dry it out like most masks do. I stopped using face masks for years because my skin is so dry and most masks would make my skin turn bright red and peel afterwards. To be honest, I was using mostly drug store masks. I love how this makes my skin feel so soft afterwards. There is no irritation at all. I ended up buying the full size on amazon for 40% less than on Sephora.

I got a sample packet when I made a purchase at Sephora. I thought I would try it out since I tried the black one. The scent is fresh and spa like. The texture is smooth mud with small amounts of exfoliates. I didn’t need to add more water to make it foam because I lightly washed my face and patted dry, then added the mask. It’s a deep cleansing mask, but after a minute I found my skin to be irritated and burning. I couldn’t stand it any longer so I washed it off. When washing it off, I was definitely smooth and nourishing. After patting it dry my face was bright red. I toned it down and then used my face spray. I don’t think I would buy the full size of the green package. Thanks for reading!
