It’s a horrible mask. It stang my face too much and it left red. Won’t repurchase again !

So bad! I’m used to a bit of tingling or stinging from face masks but it usually passes in a few minutes. I tried to stick it out with this one but after about a minute it burnt so much I was worried it would damage my skin. I washed it off to reveal red angry skin. Straight in the rubbish.

I don’t have sensitive skin at all but as soon as I put the face mask on, my skin started to burn. Would never use again, went straight into the bin.

So many people complaining about the stinging, I don’t understand it! I have fairly sensitive skin (though I suppose not so much anymore) and things often sting my face, but this was nothing! It was a bit of a sting, but mostly just the tingling and tightening that lets you know a product is working 🙂
I love trying different face masks, and I just snagged this packet with two use ‘sachets’ in it from Priceline for $2 (in a sale box at the checkout) so it was a very reasonable price. The mask was fairly thin so it was very easy to apply. I left it on for about 20 minutes, and when I took this off my skin was lovely and smooth, wonderfully matte and toned looking. It stayed noticeably matte for a couple of days, and I have very oily skin usually! Mind you, it is winter where I am so it might not have the same effect in summer.
It’s not the best mask, as it is painful on some people’s skin and unfortunately it smells kinda plain, but it’s cheap and works well so it’s a good choice for teenage girls (like me!).

I hated this so much! I used it twice and it stung my face to the point of it being so bad I took it off before ten minutes was up. the reason I kept using it was that it did keep me oil free for a bit. I used this again before school photos and I almost cried at how bad it stung my face. I took it off after a few minutes this time, and it left my face red and sore for the rest of the night. I don’t have sensitive skin at all, but this product was so painful and I wouldn’t reccomend risking buying it.

I thought this would be a winner, because it was cheap and had the main ingredient as kaolin clay. I am only a fan of kaolin clay masks, because they provide a deep down clean and get you feeling fresh for the next couple of days. But despite how I can feel it’s cleaning (you getting that tingling, tightening sensation) it really, really stings. I am used to clay masks stinging – but this was almost like a chemical peel. If you’re brave enough to see it through, yes, it detoxes your skin. But the product leaves an oily residue (not sebum, but a very light oil, not sure what it is) – however, this doesn’t seem to interfere with the cleansing or block pores. My main beef is, though it cleans, it doesn’t clean as well as other clay masks I’ve tried, and for all that stinging, it’s not worth it.

I absolutely HATE 10.0.6 masks. I have tried the orange, pink and green. They all sting like crazy the entire time they’re on my face and don’t do anything to clear my clogged pores or dry out existing pimples. I have used masks with bentonite & kaolin in them before (I’m an avid reader of ingredients lists since I discovered my skin reacts really badly to tea tree/eucalyptus) so I really don’t understand why 10.0.6 masks hurt while the other brands I’ve used don’t.
I should add that my skin is normal, not sensitive in general and I can use fragranced skincare & makeup products with no problems. I have used other clarifying/mud masks with no issue. I am prone to clogged pores and have a few pimples come up every now and then, but I don’t have acne prone skin.
This smells pretty earthy, which I quite like in a clarifying/mud mask. The texture is a very thick cream which is easy to spread around the intended area.
Packaging is a soft squeezable tube, which in theory is great, but the very first time I used this it busted open! I went to squeeze out some product and honestly didn’t use much pressure, just a little more than you’d use when squeezing toothpaste. I heard a loud POP and the pressure buildup (possibly from air in the tube?) caused the crimp of the tube to split open and some product to squeeze out. Every time I used the mask after that, more product would squeeze out the back end than the nozzle.
This has happened with all 3 of the 10.0.6 masks I’ve bought. So I give these masks the lowest rating because
A) they don’t do what they’re supposed to for my skin (ie doesn’t live up to manufacturer’s claims)
B) are extremely uncomfortable to use
C) the packaging has failed every time
I only used this a few times before I threw it in the bin. Neither of my sisters were willing to take it from me, and they have skin that tolerates all ingredients – fragrance, alcohol, you name it.
I’ll admit I am intrigued by the Keep Your Cool Calming Breakout Mask but since I’ve had a bad experience with these 3 I will probably pass.

Does what it says It will do, removed the shine off my face. Like others have said yes it did sting a little when first applied but nothing I thought was too bad. My skin felt very soft after using it. For the price, it is a good basic mask and I would use it again for your average run of the mill mask.

Hmm, not many people use this mask. I bought this mask because I was looking for a clay/mud mask and this is the only one available in the departmental store. This mask contains bentonite clay in it, so beware, it will sting your face.
I only use it on my nose and forehead and as a spot treatment, I try to avoid putting it all over my face as it will burn my sensitive skin really bad.
Afterall, this is a fairly good mask with kaolin and bentonite clay as the main ingredients, cheap and leaves skin smooth and matte.

I purchased this in a couple of the sample sizes as I was going away for a couple of weeks for work and wanted something travel sized. I’ve used the Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox before and am pretty familiar with this brand.
Pros: The smell isn’t bad at all. Not overpowering but I can’t really put my finger on what it smells like. The product itself is a really nice consistancy so will smooth on your skin with ease. I didn’t find that this product stung my skin but if you have sensitive skin I can see that it may.
Cons: Like with some of their other masks it really is just a basic mask and though my skin felt lovely afterwards and looked clean I didn’t notice any miraculous difference to how oily my skin was.
I would suggest like with the other Formula 10.0.6 masks that these would be a really really good basic ‘CHEAP’ mask for those that want to add to their skin care routine without spending HEAPS on their masks would be good for teenager girls or college girls.
