I am huge fan of facial masks, both soaked sheet masks, as well as cream masks in tubes. Rather than getting a facial somewhere at a spa I enjoy pampering my skin at home, and I have tried a good number of masks over the years. In terms of masks that specifically target the eye area I am looking for products that have a noticeable hydrating effect, which leave my eye area feeling comfortable and looking pampered, at least temporarily plumped, with fine lines less noticeable. I have less of an issue with a dark undereye area. The Trish McEvoy Triangle of Light masks are literally triangles – see the stock I uploaded – and while this may seem like a neat idea in theory, in practice I find that the shape is not ideal to cover the whole eye area that I am most interested in treating when applying an eye mask. The pads are made of thin gauzy fabric, slightly soaked with the treatment liquid. Not too wet, they are not messy to handle and pleasant enough to apply. I left them on for 15 minutes and upon removal I was unable to see any noticeable effect in terms of smoothing, let alone brightening of my eye area which are advertised on the product packaging. Of all the similar eye masks I have tried I found the Trish McEvoy product the least impressive. I was a bit surprised by this, given the somewhat promising list of ingredients.
My favorite eye masks to date are the Eye Mask from SKII and Advanced Night Repair Concentrated Recovery Eye Mask from Estee Lauder and I will stick with these two for the time being and not repurchase the Trish McEvoy triangles.
Retails for $68 and contains 8 pieces.
