My skin: combo/dehydrated, dry to normal cheeks, sometimes oily t-zone, dehydrated pretty much all over, hormonal acne.
I like and use several LRP Effaclar products, but my skin is almost always a bit dehydrated and flaky, so I need extra hydration, especially in the winter. This mask does give a bit of a moisture kick. It’s not a miracle worker, I feel like I get far more hydration and plumpness from sheet masks with hyaluronic acid and similar ingredients. But the tube packaging makes this one nice to have around for a quick fix, for when I don’t have any sheet masks at home or just don’t feel like sitting with a sheet mask on for half an hour or more. They give great results, but I really don’t enjoy that cold, wet and sticky feeling. This one is much more comfortable and easier to just slap on when I need some extra moisture.
I have pretty much run out of this, I think, and I will probably repurchase. Can’t say that I LOVE it, but it works and it’s nice to have around. Haven’t experienced any breakouts or other negative effects.

Lovely at first, put on at night and look younger and more refreshed in the morning. A week later though, deep acne nodes have formed under my skin that take forever to heal or come to a head. I stopped using it while my skin cleared, waited several weeks more and tried again. Same thing. This clogs my pores on a deep level and creates painful acne boils. Watch out if you are acne prone

What a wonderful product – simple but effective. I use it 2-3 times a week to pamper my skin and the result is really amazing. It hydrates really intensely and plumps your skin without a greasy finish. Little goes a looong way.

This is a wonderful, simple product. Goes on without stinging, even when my sensitive skin is very irritated and has that peeling, burning dry skin I get in the winter. Not a replacement for an everyday moisturizer, despite its wonderful texture and relatively clear dry-down, because it doesn’t play nice under makeup — tried it! and it balled up under my foundation and made a mess of my face. It’s really best at being a mask. Even so, I do sleep in it sometimes and it hasn’t caused breakouts, and I wake up to plump, lovely skin. Definitely has been helping my skin adjust to colder weather and drier air in the winter. When my skin is dry, fine lines start showing up that I never knew were there. Ick. This stuff plumps everything back to where it’s supposed to be, thank goodness. Bought two tubes based on good reviews when I was in Europe and it was way less expensive than in the US. Wishing I had bought more to get me through the winter! Anyway, it’s good, give it a try!

During sky vacation this mask proved to be particularly soothing. I have fair skin and, no mather how much spf I applied, I always got to the end of the day with a sunburn and very tight feeling skin.
Like many other users I don’t wipe or rinse it off. I apply a thin layer before bedtime, wait 10 or 15min, and them gently rub whatever is left into the skin. It’s particularly refreshing if you spritz some thermal water over it.
The next morning my skin was always as good as new!
I repeated the process 4 times that week, always with great results. The rest of the year I use it occasionally.

I’ve used a lot of LRP products and I was happy to see that they added a mask to their line-up. I use this from time to time as either a mask as suggested (10 mins) then use a nice warm cloth to remove before applying a nighttime moisturizer OR I’ll sometimes apply a thinner layer and use it as a nighttime moisturizer. Either way, you can’t go wrong. It’s nice to have on hand when you want to mix things up a bit.

I like this masque. While I dont find it as hydrating as some of the other masques Ive tried, I do find it does something to my skin that just makes me feel like Ive spent an hour having a facial.
A pleasant fragrance with a lovely texture, goes on cool & makes your skin sing. The instructions say 10min but I normally leave it on until it starts to feel a little stiff & then I soak a linen cloth in hot water & place it on my face to steam a little, before wiping off the excess gently. (Similar to the Hauschka procedure). It leaves your skin feeling fresh & soft, a great little pick-me-up before applying makeup for a night out or after to soothe once removing a long days wear.
Highly recommend. Great price point.

I got this after reading a blog. My cheeks are very dry and I have sensitive skin. I often have flakes on my cheek. It got really bad especially after long flights (13 +hours). I learned to clean my face and put on a thin layer during the flight. My skin stayed hydrated and no more flakes. Now I use it after each exfoliating . No more dry skin on the cheeks. Goodbye flakes! My only complaint is that it’s hard to get it in USA. I had to get it from France and it came in a tube which I like.

If you are contemplating this, go for the Vichy hydrating mask instead. This does nothing to hydrate and dries to a flat finish thereby sucking moisture out if you dont wash off in 10mins. A moisture mask should have the ability to remain moist, the Vichy one is so much better and doenst dry out if you leave it on for longer. I am now wondering what to do with a redundant product.

I’m pleased. It’s getting cold– central heat is on, there are cold winds, my skin is getting chapped– and my skin was feeling dehydrated and dry after being outside and, frankly, too much booze. This mask helped.
This mask was really soothing. It felt cooling (in a pleasant way), but didn’t cause any irritation. I left it on for maybe 20 minutes, wiped if off, and my skin felt fresh, moisturized, and glowing. It’s not as much fun as the Malin + Goetz bubbling detox mask, though. (Really. What is?)
I’m a sucker for single-serve masks (I’m more likely to buy them because they’re so cheap to begin with, even though it’s more expensive in the long run). I’d definitely rebuy this one.
