This mask definitely emits heat when you apply, not unlike the heat you get from the Biore charcoal heat activated mask treatment. The price certainly is steep, and I didn’t feel that the mask itself had any particular selling points that I wouldn’t find with mask treatments for half the price. I’ve heard great things about this brand’s mask line and look forward to trying more, but I will only be using samples. Also, fair warning, don’t keep this mask on too long. It says three minutes on the face for a reason.

The Peter Thomas Roth Hungarian Thermal Water Nutrient Rich Atomic Heat Mask is a newer product from the line- they also offer a Hungarian Thermal Water Moisturizer. The mask does contain water, it is near the tail end of the ingredient list. I guess I must assume this is from Hungary. It is true that some of these waters contain nutrients and minerals, but how much of that can be absorbed in the three minutes this is supposed be on for?
I’m also not a a huge fan of the jar packaging. After trying this mask several times it does leave skin feeling soft. Simply put, if you have $58 to buy this and you won’t be neglecting other areas of your regimen this is okay, but you are always better off using this money to buy a good leave on mask, moisturizer, toner, or exfoliator that will be on your skin all day.
