I discovered it in Italy . I bought it for just under 13 Euros in Milan (this was last year) but I know that usually it costs up to 20 Euros max.
I was going through a stage with hormonal acne on my chin, jaw and neck, very oily T-zone, under the skin bumps on my forehead and some stubborn blackheads and whiteheads especially on my chin.
I saw this mask in a Pharmacy in Milan, I read the description and I said ”Oh, what the heck, let’s see what you can do as you sound to good to be true!”
As soon as I got home I cleansed my face, applied the mask, waited for 15 mins, washed it off, cleaned my face with a cotton pad dipped in chamomile tea and applied Macadamia oil.
Waw. My skin looked sooo much better! Matte, smaller pores, smooth Skin, fewer blackheads and smoothened out whiteheads, my cysts and pimples were less red and much smaller. Plus I loved the whitening effect!
It is a bit drying though, I mean come on, it has azelaic acid+clay+sulphur!
I use it 2 or 3 times a week in the warm months and once a week in the cold months.
I keep it on for 15 or 20 mins. The package says 10-15mins. You need a moisturiser when you wash it off.
It seems my skin loves azelaic acid as I use Skinoren and Sulphur (both help my face redness or when I have pimples or cysts). So, it is great that I found a mask that has both of them incorporated. Of course, you can make your own Guam mask with the same actives but sometimes I just love having everything ready, especially when I am too busy or tired to make my own clay mask.
The smell is strange, can’t put my finger on it. It has some grains (clay). It is quite thick so you have to work fast when you apply it on your face. I always shake it well first.
I am going to repurchase even before I finish it so I am sure I am never without!
