This exfoliator is great for acne scars and pimples.
I use it 2x’s a week for 5 minutes and it does a great job for removing scars.
My only problem is that it can be a bit irritating some days.
If you leave it on for more than 5 minutes, you will experience some redness the day after.
Sensitive skin: I highly advise you only use this only 1-2x’s per week, wear sunscreen, only for 5 minutes, and follow up with a soothing mist or moisturizer or mask.

I have been wanting to get my skin to the point, that a light coat of concealer, mascara and lipstick is all I need. Going minimalist this year.
So I decided I would have to get adventurous. Sephora is usually a great place to start.
I never really used masques. I purchased a few over the holidays, but I don’t religiously use them. Was browsing and saw this. I loved the color, and it is a resurfacing product. It’s all natural, so that is a definite plus. My skin doesn’t do well with manual exfoliation (very fair, very sensitive), so chemical is usually how I go. I usually also go with natural ingredients, less chance of irritation.
The color is absolutely beautiful! I believe it comes from the Tansy flower ingredient. The smell is strange. I’m not put off by it, but I don’t particularly savor it either. Medicinal. Woody, sweet, herbal, mentholated weirdness. It’s viscosity is thin. It is translucent at application. It says there will be a tingling sensation, I feel nothing. It also says sensitive skin should also leave on for 5-10 minutes, I do the full 20. Dried clear and not sticky. I use a steaming washcloth to remove. No breakouts or irritation.
Best of all, it WORKS. My redness is reduced, my pores are definitely more refined. My skin looks much brighter and clearer. It’s softer, and my fine lines are less apparent. Never would expect such gentleness from such an effective product. I’m definitely repurchasing.

Holy grail, daily use mask. I apply a thin layer every night and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. After rinsing off, my skin is noticeably smoother, less textured, even-toned and radiant. I love the cooling feeling of this mask on my skin. The packaging is a bit meh, but i use the plastic stick that comes with it to scoop the product out, never putting my fingers into the pot. This product has alot of natural ingredients with no preservatives, so it’s important to keep germs out of the pot to maintain freshness. With daily use this lasts me about 2.5 months.

Update: Just finished the entire jar and I’ll say that I very much enjoyed using it. I feel it became a little less effective towards the end of the jar- my skin probably got used to it or was ready for the next level- but overall a great product.
Still hate their ethos though!

While I hate the brand for their ethos- free speech doesn’t seem to mean anything to them when it’s bad reviews and they’ve been threatening to sue people who write negative reviews on Instagram as libel- I had purchased this mask before I heard of all their drama. Politics aside this is a pretty great product.
Now one thing I’ll say is, as another reviewer stated, from a lot of the reviews, this seems like a godsend product. One of the reviewers on Sephora even stated that her indented acne scars- the ones that leave pits in your face, disappeared by 50% after one use. Uh, ok. Not physically possible but you do you hunt! Anyways, that review alone almost put me off the product. But, I picked it up at Sephora anyways because I needed a good pampering mask.
One thing I enjoy about this mask is that after a couple minutes I dont have to worry about it sliding off my face or anything. I put it on and leave it alone for a while. It also doesn’t dry up and form a crust on your face. It’s just a nice jelly layer to your skin. It has a lovely sheen to it that gives you a beautiful glow as well. Almost wish I could wear it out!
I personally love the smell. Blue tansy is lovely. I much prefer it in this over May Lindstroms Blue Cocoon. It might be weird to some people so I suggest smelling in store of you can.
Texture is a slimy jelly. It’s fun and I use the spatula to wipe a bit on the back of my hand, wipe it down, then place back. Spreads easily on my face in a light layer and that’s it!
So now for results. My skin is breakout prone and I’ve got pigmentation and have been dealing with texture. Also, those pesky scars that are just indents after 5-6 years of acid treatments. There was no 50% decrease in those scars after one use, but, there was some serious soft skin left behind. Soft smooth skin on my cheeks and chin where I focused it. I’m using it for a week straight like they say and then once or twice a month.
At this point I’ve used it the full week and my makeup goes on a hell of a lot smoother. I’ve got three pimples that have been there since I started which haven’t really gone down, but, they dont get flakey or crusty and gross. This also brings a lot of stuff to head which is fantastic.
All in all it’s a good product, and, if they decide to be a better company and not go after people who leave bad reviews, maybe I’ll repurchase in the future. Also depending on their mold problem.

Of all the products aimed at clearing up acne I have ever used over 15 years, this is only the second one that’s had any impact (the other is Clinique’s anti-blemish line). I am 30 years old, with combination skin (oily cheeks and forehead, dry flaky nose) and bad acne which has left ice pick scars and hyperpigmentation.
What this product does do:
1. Brings cystic under-the-skin acne to the surface, and gets rid of it. I have never encountered another product that does this.
2. Clears up whiteheads, even the giant pus filled ones quickly, dries them out.
3. Actually gets rid of those weird forehead bumps (milia, I think they’re called). Clears them right off.
4. Makes your skin look more even, more plump and hydrated.
What stops me from giving it five stars:
1. It does not completely stop new acne from coming up. So, it’s not a cure. It most definitely reduces the number of spots you get, by almost 80%, but you do get new spots.
2. It does not have any visible impact on scars.
And a note that may be helpful to those who have commented that it goes off/changes colour:
With organic products like these, try never to touch the product. I use the spatula to drip the product onto my fingers and wash and dry the spatula before each use. Also keep it in a possibly cool place, not your bathroom which is often humid and damp. I’ve bought this five times now (even had it delivered all the way to India twice) and it didn’t change color or grow mouldy. If you plan on using it only intermittently (I use it every day), maybe keep it in the fridge?

I have minor acne breakouts and this mask being done every 3-4 days has helped reduce redness, minimize pores and given my face overall a brighter appearance. It however, did nothing about my acne and it did not really help with a few black heads. Definitely recommend if you have redness and uneven skin texture and uneven skin color.

Amazing for my skin. I have sensitive and acne prone skin. Every time I get a breakout it leaves a red mark. They take so long to get rid off!
I have been using this masks for only a couple of weeks but I am loving it. It seems to be calming and helps fade the red marks a little bit. I also have had fewer large breakouts, which I think is related to this. I still have some clogged pores and small zits. I don’t think I purged much from this but I do think it can cause some small purging as the product exfoliates and pushes some of the clogs up.
Cons
I dislike the packaging. I think a tube would be better but it’s very liquid so maybe that’s why they have the tub form.
Smell is not great. Smells like Lapis from the same line but stronger.

This will forever be a re-buy as long as it is on the market. I thought i found the mother of all masks with Ole Henriksons Lemon Flash Peel, but this one surpasses it. It leaves my skin radiant, and even toned. The smell takes getting used to, but again, the results surpass the minor detail.

This mask helps so much in clearing my skin. Especially when I use it often, the blackheads on my nose that I’ve had for years are virtually gone. I almost never repurchase masks but I’m running out to buy this again once it’s done!

This is a great product. With consistent use, it helps reduce my hormonal acne, something I wasn’t expecting with this product. My skin is smoother and brighter, it is a nice chemical exfoliator. My first whiff is always very sweet and it smells like a Kool-Aid drink from my childhood, but as you smell more of it as you use it it smells kind of woodsy-herbish. It’s not terrible, not fabulous either, wish it could be less strong of a smell. It is more on the liquid side than gel and has a little scraper/spatula included. I was very impressed with how gentle yet effective this is. This product does not dry out my skin at all. I have not noticed any issues with spoilage or the product turning ‘off’, something I noticed others had mentioned. I wish it were a little cheaper, I use it regularly and after about 8 weeks it’s almost half gone. I still would buy it again, despite the price because I think it works well.
UPDATE: I will say it did discolor slightly, darken/become slightly cloudy. I did still use it after discoloration with no problems. It had no ‘off’ smell. If you use it as frequently as recommended this will not be an issue and it will be gone before discoloring. (Although it is expensive.). I would not buy this if you do not plan on using it regularly. I still highly recommend it, the effectiveness is fantastic. I believe the discoloration is a price to pay for a more natural product.
