I have to admit that I do like this mask even though the price is obviously outrageous!
It has a lighter consistency at application that will settle to a more subtantial layer. This does absorb into the skin and there will be no need to wipe it off as the instructions say.
The formula is very simple, yet it will hydrate skin beautifully leaving a glowing but natural finish.
I use it as a leave-on night mask/cream and don’t find it necessary to apply an additional moisturizer.
This mask did help me restore wind-chopped utterly dry skin in just two applications.
It contains perfume but in a very subtle amount that is non-disturbing.
I think it is an excellent choice for very dry and dry skin especially in colder and/or dryer climates.

This is just a run of the mill mildly moisturising mask. Didn’t wow me, the La Mer mask is much better. So expensive for ho-hum results. I recommend that you only buy if you try it and love it.

I’m always looking for something to brighten my complexion without breaking me out and this is a pretty good contender. The ingredients aren’t magical and won’t provide major anti-aging or other benefits as far as I can tell. But…my skin does look good in the morning when I apply a thin layer at night. Smaller pores, slightly firmer. I definitely don’t think there’s a need to wipe it off as the instructions say, especially with the price for 2 oz of product. I try not to judge products based on their price, because depending on your budget, even a modest effect may be worth it (or not). I think it does deliver some nice results and is therefore worth a try, but if you’re looking for a good “bang for your buck” product this probably isn’t it.

I find it heavy and greasy it is fine for fine wrinkles but my pores where just larger after using this mask.

I finally found the perfect opportunity to try this – on a trip to New Zealand in the middle of a biting winter cold spell! Just the right conditions for my skin to require extra hydration (this mask would normally be too rich for me). This was day 2 of my trip and a 2nd day of temperatures barely in the 40’s with a very cold wind chill.
I tried this both ways: once as instructed and once my way!
The first application was followed to the letter – a thick layer left on for 10-15 minutes and then wiped away with a tissue, or cotton round in my case, as was out of tissues. Results: this seemed to me an excessive use of product. I did notice a slight glow and definitely an increase in hydration but that was to be expected as there is a lot of shea butter in here along with other humectants to help the skin retain moisture.
The next night I tried it my way: a thin layer, left on overnight. Results: dewy and slightly glow-y skin in the morning. And more importantly a lot less product used!
Bottom line: there is really no harm in leaving this on as a thin layer overnight. Beauty companies think up a multitude of ways to keep us, the consumers spending on their products, making our beauty routines as long as possible, using the maximum number of products and using them up faster i.e such as instructions to “use a thick layer and wipe away the excess”. Complete wastage and completely unnecessary – not good for our wallets although just perfect for the manufacturers!
A good mask, much better than some of the other Sisley masks but not sure I would repurchase in a hurry.

Okay, this one is the best. Believe the hype.
But don’t use it as a mask, use it as a treasured moisturizer if you live in a northern desert, like I do, or if you need to look rested in the morning after a very long or very bad night. It’s ridiculously expensive, but I use every drop of it (rolling the tube with the rolling pin to get the last of it), and it visibly and cellularly improves my skin. Great for long-haul flights, but don’t do the slather thing, you honestly don’t need more than a thin application. The cream smells good, just faintly wealthy old lady. I don’t mind that either!
(Update: just bought it again because it takes a while to arrive and I don’t want to run out—in the quest for perfection I hardly ever buy any products again except Dr Hauschka, which I’ve used for twenty years. Of all the myriad products I’ve tried in the unending search for slightly better skin, this is the only one that consistently and reliably makes a noticeable difference, and beats Dr H.)

This is the perfect pick me up for when my skin is look dull and irritated. Very soothing and hydrating, my skin loves this stuff. Typically, I apply it at night and use it as a sleep mask. Will repurchase over and over again.

My experience with masks is that they are generally hype but make the person doing the mask feel relaxed and pampered. I originally did not care about buying this due to my preconception. In my opinion, this product should not really be labeled a “mask”. Once or twice a week I put the rose oil then this over my retin-a and I wake up with skin that is hydrated, plump and firmer. I don’t leave it on for 15-30 minutes then rinse. I just wear it as a moisturizing cream. It does not look like a mask on the face. It is maybe a little dewy glowy looking but has no color. I also like this on flights for that reason.

Love love LOVE this product, it hydrates my skin, plumps it right away, and gives an amazing glow. I sleep with it on, and the thing I love the most about this mask is the way my skin look the day after sleeping with it on – completely hydrated and glowing!
