I am surprised (kind of) at the negative reviews, but I can see why. I already have longish black lashes that just happen to be getting a bit sparse with age along with deep set eyes. If I use “normal” mascara, even waterproof, I get raccoon eyes after a few hours. This mascara, for some reason, maybe due to the type of brush, just lightly coats and defines my lashes, making them appear more prominent. And I don’t get raccoon eyes!
I think this is best suited for people who just want a little boost to lashes, not huge volume.

Nope. Not worth it. Once I tried It Cosmetics tiny thin brush mascara, I had to try more of them. This one was fine for about two weeks. Then it dried up. Now, I often like mascara that’s dried and thickened a bit; it’s less wet. In this case dry mascara is unusable mascara and it’s a waste.
I even tried to revive it with a few drops of saline, but nothing doing.

Well, let me just tell you!!! I have the most sensitive eyes, lashes and skin around my eyes that I cannot put ANYTHING near my eyes because I will be punished…and punished SEVERELY if I even THINK about dressing up my lashes with mascara! I bought this mascara today at Ulta after getting my hair done. (Happy birthday to me). I put this mascara on and …WOW! Just WOW! No pain…no discomfort…no uglies…no dryness….no tears….no red skin…no red eyes!!!! They are long and beautiful!!!!!! No $hit!!!! Have not washed it off yet but will edit my review if I find anything negative…….don’t think I will though. If this dries out too quickly, I WILL BE PUTTING SALT DROPS IN THE MASCARA TO MAKE IT LAST!!!!! That is how happy I am with this.

Hell, no. Not sure if I got a bad tube, but this stuff was so dried out it barely went on. I was intrigued by the skinny brush because my middle-aged lashes have shed and thinned to the point that they resemble spider silk. Cobwebs. They’re short too, so I basically have no eyes without eye pencil and mascara. This brush is so tiny that it would take you a day to apply the product. If it weren’t so thick and dry. Yeesh.

I don’t often leave bad reviews (and when I do they’re almost always about cheap mascara), but this product is just so awful, for me, that I want to warn others who may have similar mascara preferences. For reference, I LOVE IT Cosmetics Tightline 3-in-1 Primer-Liner-Mascara. It gives me lashes I never thought I was capable of getting. The tiny brush allows me to get way down into the roots of my short stubby lashes. The tightlining and lengthening effects do wonders for my eyes. IT Tightline costs $24 for a tiny little tube, so when I saw The Skinny for $7 at Target, I figured it couldn’t hurt to try it. Turns out, it did hurt, kind of, because this looked so bad on me I had to redo my eyes before I left the house. This clumps, looks gray, does not tightline, provides 0 length, and the applicator is so limp it smudged mascara all over my face. After all the wear issues, this was difficult to remove! The mascara is too heavy and sticky for the wimpy brush, and it’s not a formula that works for me.

I have allergies that make wearing eyeliner a challenge. No matter what brand or type I used it would inevitably migrate into or under my eye. Forget about the waterline – I could not tightline at all. But this mascara seems to have worked for me. Luckily I have very thick/long lashes – I was blessed with good lashes and brows. I use The Skinny mascara as a liner. When I apply it I hold the tiny brush very close to my lash line and wiggle it to deposit color between my lashes. It works very well, and doesn’t seem to irritate my eyes. The brush is so tiny that it enables you to thicken the base of your lashes better than a larger brush would. The brush is so tiny that you need to be careful inserting the wand back into the tube or else it will bend very easily. This product seems to have done the trick for me!

I really enjoyed this mascara, but I am a super fan of skinny brush mascaras. I currently rotate between this one and the IT cosmetics one. I just love the brush!! The mascara itself is not bad. It did not clump for me or leave residue. The brush is the real purpose for me buying it. I really wish they made this in the color dark brown. I like black, but would love a brown for a more natural look. I have small eyes and the skinny brush works for top and lower lashes. Would purchase again.

It’s a good option for the lower lashes, but definitely not a necessity for them. Smudging still occurs when using this product
