Well, this was a hot mess. This is definitely the clumsiest mascara I’ve ever used. I gave it a good 3 weeks and hated every minute of it.

I am not sure why there are so many negative reviews for this mascara. This has been my go-to for several years. I FREAKIN LOVE this mascara!!! First time I found one that makes my lashes pop and hold the curl. (My lashes are very straight and never hold a curl)
The wand is super easy to use, I liked the ball thing to help get the corners of my eyes and tiny lashes.
I’m sad to say that I am looking for a replacement because I no longer buy products tested on animals. (But happy to not support that ???? )
Would I recommend? Absolutely, I raved avout this product when I first discovered it and have bought it every time, until I decided to go cruelty free.

The wand is cumbersome and takes a while to learn how to use. I’ve been using this for a couple months so I’ve got it down, but I still don’t think it does any better at reaching tiny lashes than a normal wand does. Plus, that special ball at the end of the wand is always completely smothered in a giant glob of mascara that needs to be wiped off before you can do anything, which is probably why it seems like the remaining mascara is already drying out.
Aside from the wand, the pigment and coverage are not that great either. I have used CoverGirl mascaras before and thought they were fine, but this one sucks. I’m going to finish it out but then I won’t be buying any more.

I found this at a sale store like Big Lots! and thought name brand mascara for only $3.50? Sold! This mascara is pretty good and it’s a great deal for the price, but that applicator wand is super scary. It definitely requires a learning curve to use and even then, it’s tricky. The wand has what seems like a great design in theory but doesn’t perform well in application. Rather than the traditional bristles on a simple stick wand, this wand has 4 plastic arches around the sides with tiny bristles protruding from them and a ball tip also with tiny bristles all over it. This design with that ball tip looks like it is going to give even the tiniest inner corner lashes some coverage. This is not a grab and go mascara and requires some finesse to keep from stabbing yourself in the eye with this or getting it all over the lids. I wear corrective glasses and use a magnifying mirror to apply mascara and usually have no trouble seeing the brush. This bugger though, was tricky and while it is fabulous at getting those tiny lower lashes when you use a single arched side, it is much harder to get a close application at the base of my lashes without either misjudging the distance and getting it right in my eye (ouch!) or not even getting close. I like to apply mascara at the tightline so there is no need for a separate eyeliner and this product is very difficult to use like that with this brush design. I have been using this for 2 months now and I almost tossed it out at first because of that brush applicator, but I found out it was great for those tiny lower lashes so I kept it for that. Now that I have the brush figured out, I’ve used it for the uppers too when I am going for a more natural look. This deposits the mascara in a thin layer so it takes multiple coats to build up to what some others are capable of in one. Sometimes a more natural less made up look is preferred and this is great for that. I’d rather use this product with a different brush though as the one that comes with it is just dangerous. You have to wonder, did they test this brush out before releasing it to the general public?!! Even after multiple uses, it’s still an adventure in makeup application with this confounded applicator. It looks like a medieval torture device, aaack! This does not need to be near my eyes. The mascara inside is decent, but that brush… Sorry, CoverGirl but this is a fail.

This mascara is perfect for everyday use! At first I hated this mascara. The wand is hard to get used to but it does work well once you figure it out. Surprisingly it’s now my new favorite for a few reasons: 1) It doesn’t flake AT ALL and doesn’t smudge onto your skin 2) even though it doesn’t flake, it comes off easily with face soap or makeup remover 3) it lasts forever! Seriously I’ve been using it daily for over 3 months and no sign of running out (probably will expire sooner than it runs out) and 4) it gives you great everyday lashes, nothing especially spectacular but it makes my lashes noticeably longer and full looking – great balance and not spidery at all. 5) it holds a curl!!

Yet another mascara that promises a lot but delivers very little. The brush is super awkward to work with: I end up with mascara all over my lids and under my eyes (how on earth is this brush supposed to work on lower lashes?). The formula is rather runny and covers the brush excessively in my opinion. It’s easy to remove but even with a primer it does little to increase volume or length. My search for a good mascara continues…

I bought soLashy looking forward to using the brushy ball end to get mascara on those hard-to-reach lashes.
Yes, the brushy ball end does help in that regard, but the overall length and shape of the brush caused me to slop more mascara on my eyelids than usual. The mascara formula itself is suitable for a day-time look–no significant thickening or lengthening. It feels very soft and natural when it dries. As typical with other nonwaterproof Cover Girl mascaras, it removes easily with my nightly skin care regimen.
I will now use this only to tease out more lashes when I want to be bothered after applying LashBlast.

I have loved the Lash Blast mascaras in the past but that was years ago. I have been looking for cheaper mascaras so I am not dropping $34 on a mascara every couple of months. I was excited to try this and was pretty sure I would like it. I was wrong. I didn’t have a problem with the formula but the brush. I found it was really hard to apply the product to my lashes. I also found that it really didn’t do much for my lashes in general. It separated and added some length. I usually like more dramatic lashes. When I tried to build the product to my lashes, nothing happened. I just couldn’t get it to do anything more. I am just not a fan. Unfortunately I will not be repurchasing this mascara.

I love this product! I usually hate drugstore mascara but, decided to try this. I have really short and light lashes. I bought the black waterproof and I have medium long dark lashes. I am glad I tried this. I use Dior so, I will do two coats of this on top of that. I am surprised about the bad reviews! This is a great product!

This was such a let down for me. I love similar shaped brushes from high end brands and was hoping this was a cost effective dupe but def not. It might be user error but for me all the formula ended up on my eyelid and every little on my lashes, what did get on my lashes was clumpy and made my lashes stick together – no volume or length. I usually love CoverGirl mascara but this was a total fail.
