I am by my own admission a mascara “ho”. My husband asked me once why I was obsessed with my eyelashes…..he’s so cute. I had to explain that as I have gotten older my lashes are not as full, long, or plush as they were years ago, so the search for a mascara that does all of that without hurting my baby greens has been on!
I have used some of the most amazing mascaras out there, but this one was a big surprise. I read an article saying that some of the best mascaras out there today are fiber mascaras, so I tried one and HATED it. The fibers got in my eyes and hurt like the dickens, I tossed that crap in the trash, really pain like that for eyelashes, nope not me, no way no how! LOL
I re read the article and found a list of which fiber mascaras were the best and the one I bought was not on that list but Simply Naked Beauty 3D Fiber Lash Mascara, available from amazon, SCORE! I ordered one and was really excited when I got it. The directions scared me just a bit. This is not your standard pull the wand from the tube mascara, this has steps to follow and follow them I did and wow what results!
In my box I received there are 2 tubes, one of gel and the other of fibers. I use the gel first wait 10 seconds and then apply the fibers, waiting 20 seconds and applying gel again. At this point it’s up to you if you want to keep going for drama or less for a natural look. I’m even using it on my lower lashes, bit of a learning curve for me. LMAO!
The gel is sticky (as it should be) and the fibers are fibers, as they should be. The mascara seems to be waterproof which is great, It’s easy to remove with micellar water just don’t rub your eyes. Be patient and let the water sit for a bit then GENTLY stroke it off. It really is easier than I thought.
The best part for me was after I curled my eyelashes I used this mascara and the curl stayed all darn day! I was flabbergasted! I’m serious when I say that my lashes never stayed curled with other mascara, they always drooped by lunch. This mascara kept my curl and this mascara made my lashes look like they did when I was in my 20’s. OMeffinG! Sweeeeet! YAY! WOOeffinHOO!
Now I need to see how well it lasts while riding with my husband in the heat of the summer. I’m thrilled with this purchase! It cost all of $20.00! That is a great price for a darn good mascara.
