this mascara is really disappointing and almost unusable.
all it does is put a thin layer of black liquid on your lashes, barely lengthens them, and certainly does not volumize. it also smears and runs almost immediately after application, ending up all over your eyelids.
it’s a shame because this is a pretty accessible german drugstore brand, and i imagine the ingredients would be good for people with super sensitive eyes. the sante eyebrow pencil and clear brow gel are perfectly fine though, if you are interested in this brand.

This mascara comes in first on a long list of really shitty mascaras that I have tried. I have blonde, straight eyelashes, so I need to curl them before applying mascara. When I put this mascara on my lashes, they instantly straightened out again. When I go to curl them again the mascara crumbles off my lashes, leaving random lumps and bumps of covered and uncovered lash. Repeat process 10 times and I’m left with still straight lashes that are hardly covered in any product. I’m not even going to start talking about how on earth one would build any kind of volume with this crap.
It was cheap, but still a total waste of my money. I don’t think you should be allowed to waste plastic on packaging such a devastatingly useless cosmetic. But hey, at least it didn’t irritate my sensitive eyes… only my sensitive nerves. I ended up throwing the mascara across the room and screaming “GO TO HELL FUCKER!!”

I was surprised by the negative reviews, since I mostly agree with other reviewers about this mascara, but I love it. It comes in brown (good for me), it’s heavily pigmented (good), and it gives a nice, natural-looking separation to my lashes (a perfect daytime look). It makes individual lashes look thicker, but doesn’t volumize the whole lash line (for me).
It is certainly not waterproof mascara, so it’s not my choice for rainy days or sweltering heat.
I didn’t have problem with crumbling or clumping (I do store this in the fridge, however, since I’ve had issues with other “organic” products lacking adequate preservatives in the past).
My experience agrees more with the characterization of the mascara as never quite drying. My eyes are very sensitive, so the part about “not irritating my eyes” might be worth an extra lippie for me. My waterproof is from Clinique, and I prefer this in every other respect–it doesn’t feel as though I’m wearing mascara at all.
If I remove this after work, it’s because I want to relax and smudge my eyes if I want to, not because it’s uncomfortable.
So–while I’m definitely going to check what mascaras SANTE Volume Mascara’s detractors prefer–as of now, this is the best daily, non-waterproof mascara I’ve found.

well , its not a mascara i would ever recommend to anyone . i recently bought it fir a cheap price at my local health food store . i applied it on my cousin on her way out . the second she left the house the mascara started dripping from the humidity outside. i like the look it gives but obviously since organic it won’t last long . don’t bother buying it . I’m not disappointed though because i already know that organic/ natural mascara wasn’t made like regular mascara .

The pros with this mascara are that it separates the eyelashes very good and gives lots of black colour to them. The cons are that it doesn’t give much volume or lenght and it actually never dries on the lashes after application so it smudges very easily around the eyes.
Not a mascara I would buy again or recommend to anyone.

I am generally a big fan of the affordable, natural skincare company SANTE (which is widely available at moderate prices here in Germany.) This mascara, however, is a massive dud. I have given one point for the fact that it is actually available in brown, not just black, and one point because it didn’t irritate my eyes in the short time I have used it. What it does do, however, is clump and crumble in a way I haven’t experienced with any mascara formulation in the last 10+ years or so. Terrible. I’d rather go without than wear this.
