I love this non-smudging and separating mascara!! It has tiny fibres, which can fall off only if you cry. Rubbing your eyes a little will not cause them to fall off. I also like how non-clumpy the formula is, making it a wonderful product for day use as it separates, lengthens and holds a curl well.

My favorite mascara. It is ridiculously hard to find a mascara to suit my lashes and the ones that work best with my lashes tend to be the Japanese ones, especially of the fiber kind. I find this mascara is very black, doesn’t smudge and adds a lot of volume. Also adds a bit of length. Most volume mascaras clump my my lashes or make them look strange – they’re thicker but don’t quite look right. . ? But the volume here looks lush and not fake or crispy. I am fond of the screw type brush, although it brings out too much product but I just wipe away the excess. Is also easy to remove in the shower with a little bit of cleansing oil. This product claims to treat your lashes and hold a curl. . I don’t know if it nourished my lashes at all but it definitely won’t hold a curl. And that’s why this doesn’t get 5/5. However, paired with shiseido nourishing lash base. .. The curl holds! I know this is just because of the lash base but this is my favorite lash combination. I can combine the base with other mascaras but it never looks as good as it does with little witch motemascara volume, which fails me only in the curl department. I hate waterproof mascaras because they are hard to remove. . Yet they are the only ones that hold a curl for me. Fibre ones never hold a curl for me either. This combination gives me lovely thick natural looking lashes from little witch and the curl from shiseido. And at the end of the day it’s still easy to remove. Try it wth a decent lash base which holds curl such as the shiseido one or use if you don’t have problems with curl. I don’t find it too expensive, just a little more than average. Water resistant but not waterproof. Won’t smudge or smear. You may get an occasional fibre fall down but there are a lot worse when it comes to fiber fall out.

At the time of purchasing, Little Witch was dominating the Japanese drugstore shelves with it’s mascaras, and seemingly was (one of) the most popular mascara(s) around the market and the one clerks also recommended. Assumingly, the original one (Silver) is the most popular one, but I purchased the Volume (Gold) type as I’m interested in more curl and volume type of “falsies” looking lashes than length.
I think it’s a fiber type mascara, as you can see some in the wand. The wand itself is quite original looking, having a fun curly shape and is very easy to use. It does pick up a string of extra fibers and product when pulled out, which is annoying, but you can just swipe them off. Using this the lashes looked very natural, longer, but not very voluminous and the curl didn’t hold too well. My lashes are the annoying type that poke everywhere, sometimes I got the fiber in eye which was really really irritating. After using the mascara for some time and it dried a bit, this problem seemed to go away, but during the first month or so it brought tears into my eyes. I was fairly disappointed, as it was quite expensive for a drugstore mascara with 1800 yen (or about 18 US. dollars I think). The wear is pretty nice, minus the curl that doesn’t hold, as I didn’t find this mascara smudging or giving me the panda eyes. It was also really easy to remove with warm water and a cleanser. The moisture with big antique letters on the package? Forget it, I didn’t see anything…. But I don’t even know how to judge moisturised lashes, in the end, I thought it’s just a package gimmick.
If I buy a mascara as expensive, I might as well go for a hi-end one and spend the extra 500 yen and get amazing one, I used to think, but now I’m all into looking for a cheap and good drugstore mascaras as I’m going to throw it out soon anyway. So because of the price, I wouldn’t purchase this again. If it was on sale, I might get it as a back-up one, as it an okay one and worth of looking into if you like more natural lashes. At this price point, I’m giving this a “No” thought, there’s so many other one’s to try~ That doesn’t say it wouldn’t be worth purchasing if you’re looking for a decent non-waterproof mascara!
What I really like, is to use this mascara on my under eye lashes and another wetter mascara for the upper! Doesn’t smudge and looks nice and defined, no need to worry about the curling too much. Definitely a bad product, but only a little better than the average mascaras (and I’m really picky).
