I have this in the WASHABLE version. This stuff is amazing!! I have incredible volume that lasts all day. I have naturally long lashes, but they go down during the day even if I curl them. This formula keeps them up and separates them making them look even longer and curlier. 🙂

I’ve been trying out this mascara for about 3 weeks now, and I really like it! The pigmentation is great! It’s a super dark black, which is perfect for my faint lashes. I accidentally bought the waterproof version, which I tend to not buy when I’m looking for a mascara. The lasting power is great, it lasts me all day, but it’s not good for your lashes. I gave this 4 lippies cause it’s very difficult to remove with your basic makeup remover. Other than that, it’s a fantastic mascara.

I don’t know where I read about this, probably some makeup review on Facebook. I’m building a vintage look and trying to find the right mascara. Often times I apply mascara before I punch in at work or on a 10 or lunch. I noticed this clumped up right away which is not good for work as I’m on the floor 8 hours a day with customers. I’ve read a lot about this mascara and I guess the problem is in the formula. I do like the brush and the bottle though.

I started using this product sometime last year and I have purchased it again and again! It is one of my favourite mascara’s ever, beating any one that I have tried! I chose the waterproof version because I play a lot of sports and didn’t want any mascara running down my face during a game or anything haha. I found that it was definitely waterproof, no smudging or little black dots across your under eye, which I am very pleased about. It easily removes with either an eye make-up remover or make-up wipes, I haven’t tried it with just plain water as I always use a remover. I always curl my top lashes to give them some extra length etc. and I find with this mascara I don’t even have to curl them. It gives so much volume and adds a lot of extra length. It glides on very easily and rarely clumps up. I don’t gather any smell off it at all. I also apply it on my bottom lashes for a darker look and it stays perfectly, lengthens my bottom lashes and makes them seem more noticeable. Altogether I absolutely adore this product and would recommend it to anybody!

I’ve had worse, but I’ve had better, too. I have not tried the non-waterproof version, but it seems that all the praise is for the regular one. This waterproof mascara is okay but nothing I am eager to buy again. My lashes are naturally straight and not particularly long to begin with. I have had mascaras that made my lashes look thick and long, however; this isn’t one of them. Unfortunately, I am on a budget and can’t afford Dior Show or Blinc right now.
PROS:
1. It’s cheap. It retails for roughly ten dollars and drugstores frequently put this on sale.
2. The waterproof version holds up well in water.
3. It’s black enough. It’s not a wimpy brown/black, although I’m sure Maybelline offers that color, too.
4. Like most waterproof mascaras, this holds a curl well.
5. It doesn’t smear or smudge under my eyes.
6. The brush lifts and separates lashes.
CONS:
1. The only way I get good volume and length from this is by using Tarte Opening Act primer under it. Otherwise I’m disappointed. I have a hunch that the regular Lash Sensational mascara gives you more drama.
2. I’m bummed that Maybelline is not cruelty free, so I probably won’t buy this again.
3. It gets clumpy if you try to build it up in several coats, so don’t try to pump up the volume a lot.
4. This formula makes eyelashes feel crusty. Blinc’s formula had a softer feel.
To remove this, you do need something oil-based or silicone-based. This shouldn’t be a big surprise, though, since it is waterproof. The formula is designed to stay on while you swim. So if you buy this, make sure you have eye makeup remover or coconut oil at home.

I really like this mascara. It holds the curl pretty well, not great but pretty well. It does build nice volume and length. It’s not possible to do more than one coat however because it goes on pretty dry and definitely dries very quickly, like most waterproof formulas. I do like the brush though. The bristles grip every lash and it’s possible to reach even the inner corners easily. This color, Black Pearl, is very dark and inky, which I really like. All in all, I’m pretty impressed with this mascara. I only wish it held the curl better. My lashes become straight again in about an hour, which I don’t like. Other waterproof formulas hold the curl much better (Loreal False Fiber Lashes Waterproof, Maybelline Rocket Waterproof). I recommend this formula for those who have already have curly lashes and not for those who have to use an eyelash curler like me.

The non-waterproof version in blackest black is NOT the same as the waterproof version in pearl black. I tried the WP Pearl Black and was disappointed. It was clumpy and difficult to work with. It was also impossible to remove without Vaseline. I took a chance and tried out the non-waterproof version hoping it would be easier to remove (it was!). It was also a waaaay better formula too! I was amazed because I wasn’t expecting that at all. I think this explains the mixed reviews of either 4 stars or 1 or 2 stars. I think the waterproof versions are clumpier and harder to work with. If you’ve been disappointed by this mascara and you tried the WP version give the non-waterproof version of blackest black a chance. I’m not sure about the non-waterproof in other colours but when this I finish up with this mascara (non-waterproof blackest black) I’m going to try the non-waterproof in Black Pearl for fun and hope it’s just as awesome 😛 I hope this reviews helps someone find their HG mascara because I think I have 😛

I’ve been hearing about this mascara for months on the boards here and figured eventually I’d try it. I am a convert! I love the rubber wand – this is the first non-fiber one I’ve used and I really love the way it applies product. Also I like that I can use this on both my upper and lower lashes. My last mascara was The Colossal which I liked a lot, but the brush was too big for my lower lashes.
It defines my lashes beautifully and makes my eyes pop. Also I love how easy this is to remove even though it’s waterproof.
Edited: I knocked off one lippie because this mascara doesn’t hold a curl that well, over the course of the day. I still think it’s a good product though.

I had high hopes for this and for the 1st week it performed well…and then it started coming out of the bottle clumpy like there was nothing to scrape off the excess on the inside of the bottle. I refuse to wipe off excess mascara off a wand and waste product and money.
I do get nicely volumized and lengthened lashes, I would say this is water resistant, not proof, and I did not see the “pearl” effect it promised. I like the brush, but hate the bottle (falls over a lot due to fat middle).
Not impressed and will not re-purchase.
