I tried this after reading the first review on it. I have never used a fiber mascara until now. It looks great! Good for thick lashes.

I am very impressed by this mascara duo. I have to thank the previous reviewer who published on here. I followed the recommendations and it looks very nice on my not very impressive lashes 🙂 Honestly, that’s why I trust reviews on MakeupAlley the most. The mascara itself is really really nice and on me it works better than ones that are 2x or sometimes 5x times more expensive (like Chanel). And it is super easy to take off, I noticed the difference compared to my other mascaras. It also doesn’t irritate my eyes that usually can be pretty sensitive (for example the eye pencil from wet n wild irritated my eyes right away so I wasn’t sure about the mascara). But it’s really good , especially for the price. Thanks again to the reviewer who gave such amazing detailed recommendations which work perfectly!

This stuff is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G ! I was hesitant to try this because I’ve hated other fiber mascaras I’ve tried. Also read a bunch of reviews that said it was really messy, hard to apply, and irritating to eyes. However, in the never-ending quest for volumizing and lengthening my straight, short, sparse lashes, I figured for $8 why not. My lashes have never looked better! Amazing length, better than average volume, and wears well through the day without flaking or smudging. I thought it would be heavy and very crunchy or sticky, it’s none of those. My lashes don’t feel weighed down and still pretty soft. Does not irritate my eyes or contact lenses. I only use this on my upper lashes so I cannot say how it would perform or wear on the lowers. Here’s the process.
Do one eye at a time. I curl my lashes first, then….
1) Apply the mascara (black tube), which is actually pretty good on it’s own for lengthening. The brush is great; it has dense bristles and is a bit fatter on the ends and skinnier in the middle. The wand does not come out of the tube with excess product, which is a huge plus- nothing to wipe off, no clumping during application. If anything, there may not be enough mascara on the wand, but better that than too much. Go quickly to step 3 before the mascara dries.
2) Apply the fibers (white tube). This tube has a long skinny bristle brush and when you take it out it looks like it’s covered in cotton. If there are any bigger balls or lumps I try to scrape them off back into the tube. I read so many reviews about this part being difficult and messy, ending up with fibers in the eyes or all over, etc. The key is to not apply the fibers all the way at the root like you would mascara. Only apply from about half way up to the tips. Also, I apply with a very light pressure and I don’t try to pull the wand all the way through my lashes. I kind of just touch the fibers onto a section then lightly swipe up. It is really easy to do it this way, and I have not had any fiber fallout issues, neither upon application nor throughout the day.
3)Apply second coat of mascara. I do this with a fairly light hand as well because I’m going for a more natural look, but I’m sure you can apply more heavily for a dramatic look. You will see magic happening as you apply this coat. You can separate your lashes after applying the second coat if you want to without fear of removing the fibers. I always separate with a safety pin, and I kind of gently pick through with a really fine point tweezer to remove any little balls or clumps (but those are very few and far between).
This is not waterproof and does remove easily with soap & water. If you want to give it a waterproof topcoat with your favorite mascara, go ahead. You can apply another mascara over this no problem. For everday wp I like Maybelline Push Up Angel WP; for hurricane-proof wp I like Kiss Me Heroine Make WP
