I switched to this mascara after using the CoverGirl Lash Blast Volume Waterproof, and hearing the rave reviews. I was skeptical as this mascara is not waterproof but claims to be sweat-proof, smudge-proof, and clump-proof for up to 24 hours of wear. I have deep-set eyes and oily lids, so any mascara that is not waterproof tends to be a disaster on me. This mascara was not a disaster, nor was it completely smudge-proof. I found myself ducking into the restroom at least every couple of hours to check on it – sometimes it would last all day and sometimes it would smudge beneath my eyes.

On the upside, I liked the applicator design as it had many bristles of varying lengths. My lashes held a curl well, perhaps better than with CoverGirl’s Lash Blast Volume Waterproof mascara. And it’s cruelty-free. So probably a solid choice for people who don’t need a super-waterproof mascara. But not my HG. I might repurchase but prefer to try other options first.
