This my go-to mascara for an everyday natural look. I like the thin, rubbery brush with short bristles. It’s easy to get in around my short, straight, Asian lashes, which is often difficult with bigger brushes. Also good for the lower lashline. This smudges less than most other mascaras too. If I could find something like this that was 100% smudge proof, I would probably switch, but for now this is my favourite.

While searching for a new waterproof mascara I came across the Catrice Glamour Doll Volume Waterproof mascara for $6.99, which is a pretty good price. On first use I noticed that the application wand is flexible, but the applicator itself is stiff with short bristles. While this is at first a bit odd, it does give some good lash separation. Surprisingly for a waterproof mascara, the formula is very wet. The mascara did not add any length or volume with the first layer. On the second layer some volume was added to the lashes, but also made minor clumps which made my lashes look spidery. It did not add any length to my lashes. On the plus side, the mascara is waterproof and does hold a curl. Although the mascara is affordable and waterproof, I am not a fan of the spidery lash look and therefore will not repurchase.
