I love Urban Decay Peversion, so I thought for sure I would love “Big Fatty.” My lashes are naturally pretty long, but they are thin and do not hold a curl very well. I got this during a sale at Ulta, when it was $10 instead of the full price of $20. I AM SO GLAD I did not pay full price. Of all the mascaras I have tried, this reminds me a lot of a lower end drugstore mascara. Although I love that it is very black, it applies clumpy and is very hard to remove. It doesn’t do much for my lash volume, and I typically end up with the dreaded spider lash look. The texture is rather thick, and it’s not buildable. Some mascaras I apply a few coats, but this one does not let you do that without a mess. It also takes forever to dry once applied. I tend to prefer more natural looking makeup for work, so this misses the mark for me. Sadly, I will not be repurchasing.

I bought this mascara online for $10. It came in the black and silver tube, not the weird hippie one. I love this stuff! It’s very black, goes on nice and smooth. I found it easy to get all my lashes done in 2 coats flat. My lashes look super long and thick but not spidery. I take the time to scrape the excess off the brush before I start, I think that makes a big difference in how it goes on. This stuff has major staying power once it sets! No fallout, no smudges, no streaks. I will say it takes some work to remove, I have to use a proper eye makeup remover to get it off. If I can keep getting it for $10, I’ll keep buying it!

This is by far the worst mascara I have ever used. It clumped my lashes terribly, and to top it off it made a lot of my eyelashes fall out. After using this mascara for one week my eyelashes looked like a hot mess and I threw this crappy mascara in the garbage where it belongs!

I’m not a huge fan of this mascara. I have tried the sample size tube, and the full size. I wasn’t impressed with either.
It wasn’t too wet, the smell was just a little gross, and my lashes were a clumpy sticky mess.
I didn’t get much volume, and zero lengthening.
I will not repurchase.

Cute packaging is probably the only thing this mascara has going for it. I bought it based solely on the fact that I like a lot of Urban Decay’s other makeup so I assumed I would like this. It really just does not do anything. It does not provide any amount of length or thickness or even darkness to your lashes. It is almost like you are not wearing any mascara at all. Maybe I got a bad batch because other people seem to have a better experience but, I would not recommend.

Ugh. Seriously, this mascara is the worst. The formula js really thick, wet, and messy. No matter how I applied it, I kept getting huge clumps on my eyelids. I don’t like the finished look at all, my lashes clumped together and looked gross. 1/5 for sure

I am stunned on the bad reviews on this product. I love this mascara! I have already bought 2 back ups since trying it. I usually use waterproof, but this is very durable and can handle a heavy cardio session. The volume and length are outstanding and holds a curl well. I am a fitness professional, so I sweat a lot; I need a mascara that holds up to multiple workouts as well as living in Texas with normal summer heat and humidity. This did not hold up for a hot yoga class, nor will it hold up for swimming or a 6 mile summer run, but for the dramatic length and volume, it’s worth the sacrifice. My lashes are freakishly long and thick!

This mascara was the first Urban Decay mascara that I bought. In some ways I love is, for example
1. It is killer at staying on, being a Welsh person who sees a lot of drizzly days, this mascara didn’t budge. (Also seemed to be able to handle my oily skin.)
2. My lashes did, as promised by the lady in the shop, look AMAZING. I’ve never actually had a mascara which has seem to give me the length I wanted and fullness all at the same time without giving me the hassle of removing the clumpy bits.
3. The brush is an incredibly nice shape, definitely a favourite of mine.
However there were some downsides to this. These are also just my personal opinions and cannot fault the mascara formula itself.
1. As a person who is relatively low maintenance in terms of makeup, I found this mascara too good at staying on, and had difficulty getting it off at the end of the day without rubbing my eyes until they burned. That, or I would wake up the next morning looking like the new member of Kiss.
2. Although the brush was a nice shape, it didn’t have that glorious rim on it which helped to remove the excess from the brush and so would have to spend time to scrape the edges on the rim so that I didn’t put too much on my eyes.
3. Because of me scraping the brush on the edge I often found a build up on dried up mascara, I suppose that could be considered a waste of the product itself.

Let me begin by saying, I bought this at Ulta during the week when it was on sale for $10.00 instead of $20.00, and then I received an additional discount on top of that. That is the only reason this mascara was ever brought to my attention.
When I purchased this, I wasn’t really sure what to expect, as I have not had very positive experiences with Urban Decay mascara in the past. The Big Fatty mascara was something shy of amazing. It has a very weird, long, straight brush, I.E., not curved like many other mascara wands tend to be. It goes on very black and gives me a ton of volume and length. I do usually use Stila Major Lash before this through, as it doesn’t do much for lash definition; I find that when used alone without a lash primer or defining mascara underneath it that it clumps lashes together. The staying power is average, it doesn’t seem to bleed all over the place, but it’s definitely not waterproof, and when it does get fairly wet it burns my eyes. That’s no good. If I were to reprice this mascara, I’d probably price it somewhere around 12-13 dollars. 20 dollars is asking quite a bit for a mascara that requires so much work.

This is my HG mascara so I use it only on special occasions. It makes my lashes soooo long, thick and defined. All this, of course, if you put some of the mascara from the brush. What I don’t like is the price so you can’t repurchase it often.
