I bought the BFF mascara in black, it is a very wet formula. I personally prefer a bit drier of a formula, but I’m hoping I’ll like this more in a few months.
The colour is very black, looks nice on the lashes, but is a bit goopy because it’s such a wet formula. The brush is nice, big but not super thick or voluminous. I wish the formula helped tame my lashes more, but I usually end up using a different (drier) mascara as a base coat and then the BFF overtop to really blacken my lashes. It’s a nice combo but would be nicer if I could find a single mascara that did it all!

First off, I only have one color out of this line, the red (Left on Red). It is a true red, and with a few coats (especially on my pale brown/dark blonde lashes) it does really show up. I love the eccentricity of it, and it makes my green eyes pop.
The formula is good, and buildable. The brush is pretty big, which I’m not wild about, but that’s just a personal preference of mine. I like a skinnier brush is all.
It’s not a waterproof formula, which has its good and bad points. On the good side, it’s easy to remove. On the bad, it can run easily. First time I wore this I had teary eyes from allergies, and there was some pink-red smearing on the outside corners of my eyes. If I’m feeling like I’m going to be sneezing and sniffling, I skip this. But when I want something a bit bizarre, or just a touch of red on the tips of my lashes for a bit of fun, this is great. It’d be great for some wild Halloween looks, too.
I’ll even consider buying it again, though my next CP mascara purchase will more likely be the purple or the blue.
